Iceland knows how to stop Messi

The Icelandic players when defending against Lionel Messi with the ball, they know how and where to position themselves.

Limiting Messi's shooting angle, where he runs with the ball and prises the ball away from him.

This only applies to a team with one player who is superstar status.

Iceland taking full advantage the world can't figure out what most of their players can do. Yet.

Handsome boys who try to be like Cristiano Ronaldo

3 goals by Ronaldo against Spain. A penalty, fluke by De Gea and a free-kick.

Football is not popular here like it used to. Because we have to pay extra to watch it on tv.

These handsome boys who wish they have the skills of Ronaldo are causing their own football team problems.

They dribble and lose possession. Their passes are too hard to control. Then they blame their own keeper, their teammates without realizing the amount of ball they lost.

They demand to take free-kicks. When the ball went over the bar for so many times. Even old Q-S can do a free-kick better and more beautiful with the dip.

We should play football to our strengths. Like me, I should forget about being on the left running or passing. Because my father took away my football prowess by forcing me to take medicine to cater to him. I'm just goalkeeper and stay that way.

A boy who most people say is handsome and loves football is going to make a fool of himself in the future. If he tries to play like Ronaldo. Who will like you if your teammates are football-intelligent and say you are the one to blame for giving the ball away to the opponents not once, twice but the most number of times?

I used to be handsome until jealous people curse my face through winnings in football bettings. It was a joyful ride and I can tell you, it will happen again when I reverse all these curses with my bomoh powers when I reach 40.

My advice to these Ronaldo want-to-bes? Work hard. The money/knowledge you earn is to sustain your future.

Cougars 4 BCFC 0

I was standing from the goalkeeper position. What I saw, we were very awful.

You people do not want to let me manage the team. So you went for this:

GK - Me

LB - Yee's son
CD - Kang Xiang
CD - Justin
RB - Yee

LM - David
CM - Alex
CM - Wee Zheng
CM - Kenny
RM - Nicholas

ST - Kelvin

Our beloved Justin plays most dangerous in the middle of the field. You brainiacs tell him to play central defence. Nicholas is not a winger. He is a good full-back who wins the ball.

I basically told our friends of more than 10 years this is my preferred formation:

GK - Me

LB - Nicholas
CD - Kang Xiang
CD - Jack
RB - Daniel

LW - Young Justin
CM - Justin
CM - Kenny
CM - Alex
RW - David

ST - Kelvin

What happened in the match? There was no cohesiveness. The first goal, their right-mid clipped a cross, and their striker just shoot the ball straight past. Sure, its my fault. I didn't stand 3 meters in front of the goal-line, they use their own ball to curse us, they do my face from newspaper so many years ago which I have to wash my face like OCD. Nicholas at left-back would know what to do.

The 2nd goal, Shyong Ming wasn't there. Do you people know most defender cannot play midfielder and vice versa? A very experienced Jack would know how to stop that guy when he shouted 'Mine'.

Daniel came on for Nicholas and didn't know where to play. Q-S has already blessed him with right-back. You still don't believe in Q-S?

If I was given the chance to talk in the 2nd half, this is what I would say: "Nicholas, stay at left-back, Jack stick with KX in the center. Daniel can do his Brazilian stuff on the right-back. 3 in midfield - Alex, Kenny and Justin. Boss the midfield. Young Justin on the left. David on the right. Wee Zheng, just stand in front."

But that's not the reality what happened. Oh yes Q-S cannot take the goalkick by himself. He keeps on staying on his line like guarding the gate on sports day in 1996. I tell you why. I'm scared they chip me from 30 or 40 meters!

The 3rd goal they scored, another ball over the top cross. We need 2 established full-backs to prevent crosses. Nicholas and Daniel. Don't let them cross! Q-S cannot stop that goal. I'm an inept keeper after saving around 30 shots the previous week. So this Saturday, due to the kindness of my heart, I will let Mann play keeper.

The 4th goal I had a hand to it so damn that.

We are not up to standard. Can we just play among ourselves every Saturday? I know your best positions more than you do.

Barca overturned a 4-0 deficit on PSG. Lets try with my formation and tactics.

FA Cup Final Preview: Chelsea vs Manchester United

Chelsea are going to play 3-4-3.

Goalkeeper is Thibaut Courtois. He really needs to be sharp and in focus. Though sometimes those shots he conceded are impossible to save.

Left centre-back - Gary Cahill. Antonio Rudiger on the bench. We are talking about one of the best defenders in England. Cahill should do a shut-out for the England team to see.

Centre-back - Andreas Christensen. There are major cracks shown in the armour of this Danish young player. He has to step-up against Manchester United. Still being raw, he just needs to show why he was purchased by Conte.

Right centre-back - Cesar Azpilicueta. He is not a big man but he is intelligent. His heart should conquer the giants of Manchester United.

Left wing-back - Marcos Alonso. This man is in a downward form. His play on the left is read. Surely no surprises from him just for this match? A through assist or goal from the unlikeliest position?

Centre-midfield - N'Golo Kante. This man is hated by the whole of Manchester United. His ability to snatch the ball makes him a huge threat. Watch those legs Kante. Keep healthy.

Centre-midfield - Cesc Fabregas. I would like to see him start. Though the world knows what he could do, Chelsea have any player that is close as Frank Lampard?

Right wing-back - Victor Moses. A rejuvenated man. He gives full-effort. He won't give up.

Left-wing - Eden Hazard. The stage is set for him. Chelsea needs his magic to be there. His dribbling prowess better be in showcase against the dangerous Red Devils.

Striker - Alvaro Morata. The Spaniard will be taunted by every kind of foul words by the opposing fans. Keep it in, one bullet header to goal is the reversal.

Right-wing - Willian. This Brazilian was unlucky in the match against Barcelona at Stamford Bridge. Channel that to this FA Cup Final and we may see another brilliant wonder goal from him.

If things don't go right, Pedro should come on. Oh how I wish Pedro would play at Alonso's position. He has the desire to run to and fro on the left. I don't think its a good idea to bring on any other substitutes.

Now Jose Mourinho's Manchester United.

David de Gea is the best goalkeeper in the English Premier League. How Chelsea are to pierce the ball past him? Only 2 players I think can do it. Eden Hazard and Willian. Antonio Conte must know how to beat David de Gea. Its difficult to study his goalkeeping moves.

Mourinho likes to use a 4-2-3-1 formation. Chris Smalling and Phil Jones in the centre of defence. Blame the pundits who criticize Smalling and Jones to be inadequate, weak, incapable, not colossal and all those remarks that could wound a man's pride real deep. What they think? That Smalling and Jones are still young players like 10 years ago? They are now at their peak! They take those verbal attacks and become better. F***. How Chelsea are going to handle these two men in the middle?

Ashley Young is now at left-back and Antonio Valencia the other side. They now are able to defend. Something which Chelsea's wing players are inclined to exploit.

Nemanja Matic, who knows Chelsea very well, and Marouane Fellaini in the middle of midfield are huge problems. These two men plug it in. Rarely miss a pass. Wins the ball clean and effective. But they too have to contend with N'Golo Kante biting down their heels like Pac-Man.

Jesse Lingard is a torn to any side he plays against. This man roams around in the attacking centre. He feeds the ball to the wingers and striker. Which Chelsea player can snuff him? Chelsea do have 3 at the back.

God, there is still Paul Pogba. POGBA. The most expensive player. This guy I had analyzed his play. He makes it look simple. Short passes and receiving back in the right positions. BUT. When he does an impact play, its spectacular. A raking through pass end up in an assist which is as long as 40 meters. A headed goal is using his height advantage where an average player cannot execute it due to lack of body and height. Most of his goals, Pogba knows the goalkeeper has no chance of saving it. Paul Pogba is about taking advantage of circumstances in a play that his opponents are unable to defend themselves.

The wingers are probably Marcus Rashford and Alexis Sanchez. These two can terrorize any left-backs. Chelsea has no full-backs. Wouldn't Hazard and Willian have to drop back just for this match?

Romelu Lukaku is an international hitman. Chelsea may be done for.

Not only that, look at the capabilities of United's other players:

Victor Lindelof
Marcos Rojo
Luke Shaw
Ander Herrera
Juan Mata
Anthony Martial

Though I feel the match will move on to penalties with De Gea the hero, I think Chelsea is going to up their game. 1-1. With Chelsea scoring in extra-time to lift the FA Cup trophy with a 2-1 scoreline.

BVSS 21 April 2018

It was a match which The Blacks won 8-6 against The Yellows.

The Blacks

Q-S
Shyong Ming
Kang Xiang
Nicholas
David
Wee Zheng
Yee's son
Daniel's son

The Yellows

Mann
Jack
Kenny
Yee
Leong
Leong's son
Kelvin
Daniel
young Justin

I accidentally injured Daniel so bad he had to leave the pitch. He was about to score, I blocked him as goalkeeper and he fell in agony. I am so sorry. I feel really bad about it.

In the 1st half, Kang Xiang placed The Blacks in the lead 1-0. Daniel equalized 1-1. It was a good 1st half. Both teams played nice football.

In the 2nd half, a flurry of goals. Daniel extended The Yellows lead to 2-1. Then Leong made it 3-1. young Justin with a header 4-1. I thought we are done for. The incident where Daniel injured happened. David then narrowed The Blacks to 4-2.

2 more goals for The Blacks and its 4-4. This is the sequence that followed:

Blacks 5 Yellows 4
Blacks 5 Yellows 5
Blacks 6 Yellows 5
Blacks 6 Yellows 6
Blacks 7 Yellows 6
Blacks 8 Yellows 6

Q-S saved more than 10 shots again. Kang Xiang was defending and attacking as usual. Nicholas the complete central midfielder. Wee Zheng did well on this day. Yee's son debut was a good one at right-back, I'd like him to play with us more. David another bag of goals today.

Now Daniel's son with the black Arsenal jersey was exceptional. Just a primary school kid and scored 2 goals. I'm impressed.

Mann for The Yellows, again saves after saves. Jack, is an experienced man with technical football. Kenny really knows how to play football. Yee is linking up very well with the rest of his teammates like he always does. Leong scored 2 goals, his son shows dangerous instinct in front of goal. Kelvin is happy to play, almost scored. young Justin likes to attack and scored 2 too. Daniel was doing really well before his injury.

The absence of the Justin who provided us transport with the van is really felt by the Yellows.

MAN OF THE MATCH: SHYONG MING. WHEN I SEE HIM CHASE BACK FOR THE BALL AFTER LOSING POSSESSION, THIS MAN GIVES FULL EFFORT WHEN PLAYING FOOTBALL FOR US.

Saturday, 14 April 2018

BVSS 14 April 2018

Another 6 v 5 on small goalposts.

First match is Blacks with 5 people vs Yellows which the Yellows won 2-1.

Second match is mixed.

Team A

David
Shyong Ming
Nicholas
Yee
Leong

Team B

Kenny
Justin
Wee Zheng
Wan
Q-S
Mann

Team B won 3-0.

The 3rd match is the continuation of the first match which the Yellows won again this time 7-1.

I've come to the reality that the Blacks cannot play without Alex and Kang Xiang. Look at the Yellows. Kenny is technically gifted. Yee knows the real basics. Justin is an all-round footballer. Leong is a shooter of the ball. Their new addition Mann is such an excellent goalkeeper.

And you people tag me every Saturday just because I appeared on newspaper several years ago...there's another major change in our friendships. My personal blog will be shut out. BUT. This blog will receive my views on football like The New Paper style. So look out for it here.

For today...

MAN OF THE MATCH: WAN. A HAT-TRICK ON FOR THE 2ND MATCH.

Monday, 9 April 2018

BVSS 7 April 2018

The Yellows won 10-6 with small goalposts the breadth of the pitch.

The Yellows

Kenny
Vietnam guy
China guy
Jack
Wan
Mann
Justin

The Blacks

David
Kang Xiang
Shyong Ming
Q-S
Wee Zheng
Nicholas

The Blacks were awful. The Yellows were effective as a unit. Kenny with all those passes. Vietnam guy playing like a pro. China guy defending cool and wonderful. Jack using his footballing brains. Wan, nicking the ball from all of us. Mann, who is not only a goalkeeper but also knows how to play outfield. Justin, who makes a whole world of difference when he plays against The Blacks.

The Blacks are one man out but that shouldn't be an excuse, right? We were down by 7-0 and I was allowed to play outfield. I suggest this. We start as me being goalkeeper always. But when we are losing terrible, I should play outfield. Me on the left opens up play. The opponents think I will be stopped easily, you all have space when I pass the ball.

David had a few shots that should've went in. Kang Xiang scored 2. Wee Zheng almost scored. Nicholas played well. Shyong Ming did fine.

MAN OF THE MATCH: JUSTIN. HE IS AN ALL-ROUND FOOTBALLER. WITH HIM PLAYING FOR THE YELLOWS, THE BLACKS ARE IN FOR MISERY.

BVSS 31 March 2018

It was a very peaceful afternoon of football. Good way to end March.

Blacks vs Yellows with Kenny playing for us

The Blacks

Q-S
Wee Zheng
Kang Xiang
Shyong Ming
Nicholas
Kenny
David
Leong's son's friend

The Yellows

Mann
Jack
Yee
Leong
Vietnamese guy
Leong's son
3 new guys

I enjoyed the match. Nobody to yell at their teammates. It was a relaxed atmosphere.

The Yellows went 1-0 ahead when that Vietnamese boy beat this keeper from distance. Then it was comical as Leong's son's friend tried to score but the ball went over the bar. Leong's son is only 9 years old I think.

Leong made it 2-0 for The Yellows and I thought we were going to get thrashed for the 2nd week running. Kenny links up very well with us. David pulled one back for us 2-1. Kenny equalized for The Blacks 2-2.

David drilled one again for us to overturn 3-2. Before Wee Zheng slammed home 4-2. Half-Time.

2nd half The Blacks extended their lead to 5-2 and then 6-2. Credit have to be given to the new-look Yellows. The 3 new guys are well-composed and technically good. They are not used to play with each other yet. Unlike us who had played together since way back in 2007.

And that Vietnamese guy is really that talented. Look at all those goals he scored. Professional. If not for The Blacks goalkeeper, The Blacks would have lost.

The Yellows did not give up. With their passing movement. 6-2 became 6-5. One of the new guys had a collision with the goalkeeper's hand but his head is fine.

Kang Xiang too went injured and did not play outfield. The Blacks went up 7-5. The Yellows narrowed to 7-6. Kenny made it 8-6. Shyong Ming wrapped it all up 9-6.

The Blacks win 9-6.

The Blacks had a shape of 4-2. With Wee Zheng, Kang Xiang, Shyong Ming and Nicholas defending. Kenny and David attacking.

The Yellows who had one man extra, is more of 3-2-1. Two of the new guys and Yee in defence. Jack and another new guy in midfield. With the Vietnamese guy as striker.

But man-of-the-match belongs to this man...

DAVID TEO. PLAYED MORE TO THE LEFT. TAKES HIS CHANCES REALLY WELL. HIS GOALS CONTRIBUTED TO THE SCORELINE.

BVSS 24 March 2018

Faizal tells me not to update this match.

Well, he told me he couldn't sleep about it. Now he had slept, I'll update.

It was a horrible showing for The Blacks. We lost 8-2.

Here are the 12 vs 12 line-ups:

Blacks

Nicholas
Kang Xiang
Shyong Ming
Daniel
Wee Zheng
Wei Bin
Seth
Yee
Elton
Faizal
David
Q-S

Yellows

Mann
Jack
Man in yellow jersey
Justin(young)
New right-back
Justin
Malay boy(pink boots)
Malay boy(purple)
Malay boy(yellow)
Malay boy(orange)
Kenny
Leong
Leong's son

The four Malay boys really killed us. Their passing and movements are superb. Using wing-play to the utmost. Shredding us with balls through the middle. We do not know what the two new Malay boys are capable of. The one in yellow is a striker our defenders have difficulty marking. The one in orange is good enough for S-League I think. He's fast and have all the techniques as an attacker. We've seen how the ones in purple shirt and pink boots play. Both are really that good in their football.

Mann had an excellent game as goalkeeper. Saving shots after shots.

Young Justin was passing the ball. The new right-back was doing so well on his first match. Justin was plugging the midfield. Kenny again playing like a real true midfielder. A man in yellow jersey was doing fine in his first match too. Leong is in it with those attempted tackles.

For The Blacks, I, Q-S was shit as goalkeeper. Simple shots I couldn't save. I don't have a girlfriend because I don't deserve one. The scoreline should've been 3-2. But because of me it's 8-2. My football game is over and finished. Why am I still allowed to play every Saturday?

We had our first choice back four. Nicholas did well as left-back. Kang Xiang and Shyong Ming stuck it in as central defenders. Daniel is an overlapping right-back who even scored.

Wee Zheng had a good game, knowing where to pass. Yee did smart play again. Elton came, his attendance is appreciated. Faizal, a local football enthusiast, played as centre-forward. David is uncomfortable as striker. I guess he is better on the wings.

The two new guys Wei Bin and Seth. They are CR7 fans as seen on their boots. Both are able to dribble. Wingers I suspect.

MAN OF THE MATCH: JACK. THIS MAN PLAYED DEFENDER YESTERDAY. READ THE GAME VERY WELL. DISTRIBUTION OF THE BALL IS REALLY GOOD. HE STAYED AT THE BACK AND PREVENTED US FROM SCORING.

Sunday, 18 March 2018

BVSS 17 March 2018

It was raining. A downpour. I waited inside the shelter. Kang Xiang, Wee Zheng and Mann were playing passes in the rain. Kenny was waiting too. Daniel wasn't even wearing his boots yet. Shyong Ming came and then Leong. Faizal and his son Adil came. Nicholas, our smiling chubby friend, arrived with an umbrella.

11 players.

6 v 5 on small goalposts.

First match

Team A

Wee Zheng
Daniel
Faizal
Adil
Nicholas
Leong

Team B

Q-S
Kang Xiang
Shyong Ming
Mann
Kenny

Team B got into a worse start. 2-0 Team A went up with Adil and Nicholas. Mann took back for Team B 2-1. Team A scored again to make it 3-1. Q-S had to go out from goalkeeper position. Team B narrowed it again to 3-2. Before Wee Zheng, of all people made it 4-2 for Team A. Kang Xiang was telling off Q-S to mark Adil. Amazingly, Team B, with one man less won the match 5-4. With Q-S one assist and the winning goal. Everyone was smiling.

Team A 4 Team B 5

We rested for around 10 minutes. Leong had to leave.

Second match

5 v 5

Team A

Kang Xiang
Shyong Ming
Kenny
Q-S
Daniel

Team B

Wee Zheng
Faizal
Adil
Nicholas
Mann

It was a livelier match. Plenty of counter-attacks by Team A. With Q-S and Daniel attacking. Adil grabbed the lead for Team B 1-0. Q-S equalized. 1-1. Immediately after that, Team B made it 2-1. An assist by me and Daniel leveled it at 2-2. I assist again and Daniel scored the winner 3-2.

Team A 3 Team B 2.

MAN OF THE MATCH: DANIEL. SCORES THE MOST GOALS ON THIS DAY.

Sunday, 11 March 2018

BVSS 10 March 2018

12 people played only. So we have to do with small goalposts again.

Kang Xiang - Was not contented with defending. He went and attack and attack. A bright future lies ahead of him.

Wee Zheng - Surprisingly played well. In the middle passing and scoring one.

Daniel - On the right-wing. In normal match, he's best at right-back. Able to run and tackle with those long legs.

Yee - A man who knows his football game.

Kenny - A bit subdued today. He was injured last week. He has one of the best attendance. An intelligent passer of the ball.

Mann - A goalkeeper who also plays striker.

Jack - Old school football from him. The basics.

Kelvin - Defends well. Also knows how to play striker.

Nicholas - Defies health logic. A technically sound player.

Shyong Ming - The fearless silent destroyer.

MAN OF THE MATCH: WAN. THIS MAN POSITIONS HIMSELF AWAY FROM HIS MARKER. WHEN HE GETS THE BALL, HE UTILIZES IT WELL. GIVEN THE CHANCE TO GET A GOAL, HE DOES IT WITH A POACHER INSTINCT.

Kovan The Cage 3 March 2018

9 people came. David, Kang Xiang, Q-S, Wee Zheng, Shyong Ming, Yee, Kenny, Keith and Daniel.

There were plenty of 5-on-4 matches. Keith just kept on dribbling, running, tackling, scoring the most number of goals, unstoppable. MAN OF THE MATCH.

David was there too. Intelligent play.

Kang Xiang came close 2nd as top performer. Very fit.

Wee Zheng popped 5 goals.

Shyong Ming is again contributing with the team he plays in.

Yee is clinical with his passing and goals.

Kenny was injured. But attendance is what matters. He is his true playing self on standard goalposts field.

Daniel thanks for coming. Scored a few too, one a beautiful lob.

After that, five of us went to eat nasi lemak. A nice afternoon spent. (:

The Cage 24 February 2018

Here are the summaries of those who turned up for The Cage at Kovan:

Kang Xiang - Defending and attacking. Very fit.

David - Likes to utilize the wings to great effect.

Wee Zheng - After scoring an own goal, was doing his best nicking the ball from the opponents.

Q-S - Given a run-out at outfield. Scored 3 goals.

Shyong Ming - Our history shows our defenders like to move forward. SM does that and scores many.

Keith - Terrorizing with close-control dribbling from the center. If you ask me, the Chelsea player similar to him is Pedro.

Teck Huat - A clinical striker of the ball. We need him on the field more often.

Elton - Again, covering the whole pitch winning balls and passing.

Wayne - Even when injured, played on.

Kenny - A true dangerous footballer. At a later age.

Yee - Intelligent man who knows how to play football.

MAN OF THE MATCH: KEITH.

Street Soccer 10 February 2018

Me, Wee Zheng, Shyong Ming, Kang Xiang, David and Keith came.

We are way past it. These teenagers who played with us are better than us by a mile. I already mentioned street soccer is meant for teenagers to develop their skills.

We are adults and our body shape, fitness and mobility not suitable on a ground where we first started.

The number of misplaced passes we made were far too many. An adult size will find it difficult to adapt a small, contained street soccer court. With goalposts that are mid-level.

I was an adult when we were teenagers. I played goalkeeper during our street soccer escapades.

My verdict? No more street soccer. Not enough people? Cage.

BVSS 3 February 2018

Only 11 people turned up. We played 2-sides on the breadth of the field. After 3 goals, change team and players.

The first match, the team I played in lost 3-2. How my team was leading 2-0, then down 3-2. The goalposts were small. I was the most back player for my team. When I'm told to push forward, we lose.

The second match is basically The Core against The Yellows members Yee, Kenny, Justin, Jack and a rare appearance by Keith. I'm played out of position. I just cannot play not standing the most back of my team. We lost 3-0.

The third match was a mixed match like the first. My team lost 3-2. Many saves from me as I'm allowed to use my hands on a rather small goalposts. Nobody remembers those saves. We were leading 2-0, then lose 3-2.

The fourth match was stopped before it ended at 3 goals. We practiced penalties on the standard goalposts. Kenny showed he's an expert. And nobody remembers my penalty that was a carbon copy of a former Chelsea player.

Wee Zheng scored a goal.

Kang Xiang played like a sprinter after I made him iced tea.

David was dribbling past Wee Zheng like air.

Shyong Ming likes to move forward. Maybe he should play striker as a tester.

Nicholas defies physical fitness by playing good football.

Kenny plays like an expert on standard goalposts or small goalposts.

Yee is technical play using brains.

Jack is about keeping it simple.

Justin is an amazingly good man. So patient. I'd like to know which teachings he follow. He is an extraordinary fit player.

Keith, our old friend, runs with the ball, is a skillful dribbler.

MAN OF THE MATCH: JUSTIN. A VERY NICE MAN. THANKS FOR THE TRANSPORT ON VAN!

Street Soccer 27 January 2018

Only 3 of us came. Me. Kang Xiang. Wee Zheng.

We started practicing shooting and passing at the upper court.

More people came. All younger than us.

The first match, the 3 of us are paired with a spectacle boy in a blue shirt and another in a pink shirt. I played goalkeeper. We go against 5 boys in black who are technical skillful. We won.

The next match against a group of boys who tend to use the wings and dribble. They won.

I drank water from my bag. We are up next again. This time, a new boy replaced the boy in the blue shirt. The other team had alterations to their team too. The 5 boys in black had to make way. Another match with this mixed team who likes to use the flanks. We lost again.

Me, Kang Xiang and Wee Zheng were sad. That new boy said to me he will play goalkeeper next match. That mixed team had 3 wins, us 1 and the team in black none. The team in black beat the mixed team to chalk up their first win.

So the new boy played keeper. Another new guy entered. He straight away are us. I had to play outfield. I was afraid. I just played defender. Didn't cross the halfway line. We won. I thought wow! Next up the team that likes to play on the flanks. We won again! With me outfield? Outrageous. Our last match are against the boys in black. They won.

Well, we won 3 matches featuring just me, Kang Xiang and Wee Zheng.

9 vs 9

The Blacks went ahead 1-0. Daniel.

The Yellows drilled an equalizer from distance. 1-1. Kenny.

The Yellows snatched the lead 2-1 in the 2nd half. Another long-distance effort. Kenny.

The Blacks level terms again 2-2. David.

The Yellows took the lead again 3-2. Elton.

Blacks equalize. 3-3. Teck Huat.

The Yellows went 4-3 up with a near-post shot flung by The Blacks goalkeeper. Yee.

The Blacks finished off the game 4-4. Teck Huat.

Final score: Blacks 4 Yellows 4.

The muddy ground incapacitated us from playing better football.

Q-S another double-digit saves as goalkeeper.

Wee Zheng is reveling in the left-back role. He has a good left-foot.

Kang Xiang is an expert defending in any condition.

Shyong Ming is a defender who's not afraid to move up. He is not afraid of anything.

Daniel, our man on form, is now entertaining us with never-seen-before skills.

See you again Alex. Now who will fill your role as our best play-maker?

David's goals-to-game ratio is our best. A definite striker.

Nicholas tend to play right-back today, linking up well with Daniel.

Teck Huat scores totally brilliant goals. Today a martial arts flick for our 3rd goal.

Our formation was 4-4-0 today.

That deadly Kenny. Almost killed me with 2 goals from distance. I dived and fell, its like I'm in half-life for a few minutes.

Yee curling the ball to my near post. What was I supposed to do? I punched it away and it went in!

I don't know what multi-vitamins Kelvin takes but he is now clever. Defend and attacking good.

Jack is like those English central-midfield players. Doesn't dribble but his passes are crisp.

After just 3 games, Harry has gelled well with us.

Elton decided to play for the Yellows today. Made the right decision by shooting the ball past Q-S that I will never save.

Leong was wearing orange. Took full advantage of 'no offside' mode. Using the width very well with Jack.

Faizal is an intelligent man. He is an insider. Q-S is a writer. He is an insider.

Danny did exceptionally well as goalkeeper. Right in front and us the Blacks kena blocked by him!

MAN OF THE MATCH: DANIEL. THIS MAN IS ON FIRE. ON FORM. NO Q-S HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS REVIVAL.

Us The Blacks lost to The Yellows. 10-6.

We were leading 5-3 in the 1st half. How did we concede 7 goals to lose? The very muddy ground? Shouldn't be an excuse. It was a level playing field switching sides each half.

Our Alex playing for The Yellows? A major point. Alex knows each of our strengths and weaknesses. The us and the opponents. In the 2nd half, the midfield of The Yellows were playing a pressing game. Harry, Kenny and Leong were sitting back and kicking the ball out of our midfield. Alex just thread long through balls to Kelvin who played as a devastating striker in the 2nd half. Alex easily carved us out with those through balls given the muddy ground.

The formation from the start was this...3-2-2

Wee Zheng
Kang Xiang
Daniel

Nicholas
Elton

Teck Huat
David

It worked wonders with us showing very entertaining football in the 1st half. The 2nd half, we heavily crumbled.

It's my mistake. Asking David to move center as striker. It backfired.

The Yellow's intelligent striker Faizal's positioning was very good. He told me he would score three goals at half-time and he did.

But Kelvin on the left attacking suddenly showed up on this day. With Alex's assists, he scored a hat-trick past this goalkeeper. All three goals were beautiful and class. His first MAN OF THE MATCH.

Safie as their goalkeeper in the 2nd half was in no-nonsense mood.

Danny was lurking in attack trying to get a goal.

Wee Zheng had a good game at left-back. Kang Xiang, never failed to give his best defending every Saturday. Daniel? Oh. What showing as right-back in the 1st half. With skills that has to be seen to believe.

Nicholas. He was overexerted. I stand by my words he is the complete midfielder. But placing him in central-midfield for 2 long halves? Its too much to ask.

Elton was chasing balls, wanting to win possession for us. That goal by Teck Huat was superb, went up and hit down.

I should've let David do his wide role.

Adil was there too with vital passes, quiet.

BVSS 6 January 2018

The 2nd leg between us and The Yellows featuring Adil and friends ended up with The Blacks winning 9-2.

Everyone playing knows Q-S had played the role of a player-manager...

It was a 4-5-1.

Nicholas at left-back is a shrewd move. He can tackle and prefers playing wide.

Kang Xiang at centre-back is the fulcrum of everything we defend. This is his best position and he relishes in it.

Alex at centre-back. A surprise move by Q-S. Alex obliged and did real good with those deadly long-balls.

Daniel at right-back. He played for years with us and seems lost as striker. I asked(yes not tell) him to play at right-back. It paid off damn well with him scoring a goal.

Leong at left-wing(originally the other team), is a winger through and through.

Wee Zheng in central-midfield had a surprisingly good game. Passing to the nearest open player.

Justin in the defensive-midfield role doesn't talk and yet he produce a whole bundle with his feet.

Danny is dangerous when near goal. He just tapped the ball in and its a goal

David on the right-wing shows shades of Ronaldo. Helps himself to a couple of goals again.

29 San as striker. You know I asked him to play defence. But he chose to play striker. I trust the words of a man with vast experience. He has an injury. Probably the most devastating ever. The pictures of his swollen foot is now on our phones. I wish him well. And based on the fact he drove his car, the injury may not be as serious as it seems.

Its actually 12-a-side with Faizal playing support-striker with a few assists and 2 goals.

Adil had brought plenty of friends. Mann the goalkeeper, Jack, 2 new guys, Kenny(who scored both their goals), the long-sleeved guy, Safie all turned-up and should be recognized because they are brave to come.

Will there be a part 3?

MAN OF THE MATCH: KANG XIANG. BUT WE ALL KNOW WHO PLANNED IT BEFORE THE MATCH.
