BVSS 31 March 2018

It was a very peaceful afternoon of football. Good way to end March.

Blacks vs Yellows with Kenny playing for us

David
Leong's son's friend

The Yellows

Mann

Leong
Vietnamese guy
Leong's son
3 new guys

I enjoyed the match. Nobody to yell at their teammates. It was a relaxed atmosphere.

The Yellows went 1-0 ahead when that Vietnamese boy beat this keeper from distance. Then it was comical as Leong's son's friend tried to score but the ball went over the bar. Leong's son is only 9 years old I think.

Leong made it 2-0 for The Yellows and I thought we were going to get thrashed for the 2nd week running. Kenny links up very well with us. David pulled one back for us 2-1. Kenny equalized for The Blacks 2-2.

David drilled one again for us to overturn 3-2. Before Wee Zheng slammed home 4-2. Half-Time.

2nd half The Blacks extended their lead to 5-2 and then 6-2. Credit have to be given to the new-look Yellows. The 3 new guys are well-composed and technically good. They are not used to play with each other yet. Unlike us who had played together since way back in 2007.

And that Vietnamese guy is really that talented. Look at all those goals he scored. Professional. If not for The Blacks goalkeeper, The Blacks would have lost.

The Yellows did not give up. With their passing movement. 6-2 became 6-5. One of the new guys had a collision with the goalkeeper's hand but his head is fine.

Kang Xiang too went injured and did not play outfield. The Blacks went up 7-5. The Yellows narrowed to 7-6. Kenny made it 8-6. Shyong Ming wrapped it all up 9-6.

The Blacks win 9-6.

The Blacks had a shape of 4-2. With Wee Zheng, Kang Xiang, Shyong Ming and Nicholas defending. Kenny and David attacking.

The Yellows who had one man extra, is more of 3-2-1. Two of the new guys and Yee in defence. Jack and another new guy in midfield. With the Vietnamese guy as striker.

But man-of-the-match belongs to this man...

DAVID TEO. PLAYED MORE TO THE LEFT. TAKES HIS CHANCES REALLY WELL. HIS GOALS CONTRIBUTED TO THE SCORELINE.
