Only 3 of us came. Me. Kang Xiang. Wee Zheng.
We started practicing shooting and passing at the upper court.
More people came. All younger than us.
The first match, the 3 of us are paired with a spectacle boy in a blue shirt and another in a pink shirt. I played goalkeeper. We go against 5 boys in black who are technical skillful. We won.
The next match against a group of boys who tend to use the wings and dribble. They won.
I drank water from my bag. We are up next again. This time, a new boy replaced the boy in the blue shirt. The other team had alterations to their team too. The 5 boys in black had to make way. Another match with this mixed team who likes to use the flanks. We lost again.
Me, Kang Xiang and Wee Zheng were sad. That new boy said to me he will play goalkeeper next match. That mixed team had 3 wins, us 1 and the team in black none. The team in black beat the mixed team to chalk up their first win.
So the new boy played keeper. Another new guy entered. He straight away are us. I had to play outfield. I was afraid. I just played defender. Didn't cross the halfway line. We won. I thought wow! Next up the team that likes to play on the flanks. We won again! With me outfield? Outrageous. Our last match are against the boys in black. They won.
Well, we won 3 matches featuring just me, Kang Xiang and Wee Zheng.

The ball was rolling...it almost crossed the line...until Wee Zheng cleared it. That point I know these guys are my most loyal friends.
It was Alex's last match before returning to us in 9 months.

9 vs 9
The Blacks went ahead 1-0. Daniel.
The Yellows drilled an equalizer from distance. 1-1. Kenny.
The Yellows snatched the lead 2-1 in the 2nd half. Another long-distance effort. Kenny.
The Blacks level terms again 2-2. David.
The Yellows took the lead again 3-2. Elton.
Blacks equalize. 3-3. Teck Huat.
The Yellows went 4-3 up with a near-post shot flung by The Blacks goalkeeper. Yee.
The Blacks finished off the game 4-4. Teck Huat.
Final score: Blacks 4 Yellows 4.
The muddy ground incapacitated us from playing better football.
Q-S another double-digit saves as goalkeeper.
Wee Zheng is reveling in the left-back role. He has a good left-foot.
Kang Xiang is an expert defending in any condition.
Shyong Ming is a defender who's not afraid to move up. He is not afraid of anything.
Daniel, our man on form, is now entertaining us with never-seen-before skills.
See you again Alex. Now who will fill your role as our best play-maker?
David's goals-to-game ratio is our best. A definite striker.
Nicholas tend to play right-back today, linking up well with Daniel.
Teck Huat scores totally brilliant goals. Today a martial arts flick for our 3rd goal.
Our formation was 4-4-0 today.
That deadly Kenny. Almost killed me with 2 goals from distance. I dived and fell, its like I'm in half-life for a few minutes.
Yee curling the ball to my near post. What was I supposed to do? I punched it away and it went in!
I don't know what multi-vitamins Kelvin takes but he is now clever. Defend and attacking good.
Jack is like those English central-midfield players. Doesn't dribble but his passes are crisp.
After just 3 games, Harry has gelled well with us.
Elton decided to play for the Yellows today. Made the right decision by shooting the ball past Q-S that I will never save.
Leong was wearing orange. Took full advantage of 'no offside' mode. Using the width very well with Jack.
Faizal is an intelligent man. He is an insider. Q-S is a writer. He is an insider.
Danny did exceptionally well as goalkeeper. Right in front and us the Blacks kena blocked by him!
MAN OF THE MATCH: DANIEL. THIS MAN IS ON FIRE. ON FORM. NO Q-S HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS REVIVAL.

Us The Blacks lost to The Yellows. 10-6.
We were leading 5-3 in the 1st half. How did we concede 7 goals to lose? The very muddy ground? Shouldn't be an excuse. It was a level playing field switching sides each half.
Our Alex playing for The Yellows? A major point. Alex knows each of our strengths and weaknesses. The us and the opponents. In the 2nd half, the midfield of The Yellows were playing a pressing game. Harry, Kenny and Leong were sitting back and kicking the ball out of our midfield. Alex just thread long through balls to Kelvin who played as a devastating striker in the 2nd half. Alex easily carved us out with those through balls given the muddy ground.
The formation from the start was this...3-2-2
Wee Zheng
Kang Xiang
Daniel
Nicholas
Elton
Teck Huat
David
It worked wonders with us showing very entertaining football in the 1st half. The 2nd half, we heavily crumbled.
It's my mistake. Asking David to move center as striker. It backfired.
The Yellow's intelligent striker Faizal's positioning was very good. He told me he would score three goals at half-time and he did.
But Kelvin on the left attacking suddenly showed up on this day. With Alex's assists, he scored a hat-trick past this goalkeeper. All three goals were beautiful and class. His first MAN OF THE MATCH.
Safie as their goalkeeper in the 2nd half was in no-nonsense mood.
Danny was lurking in attack trying to get a goal.
Wee Zheng had a good game at left-back. Kang Xiang, never failed to give his best defending every Saturday. Daniel? Oh. What showing as right-back in the 1st half. With skills that has to be seen to believe.
Nicholas. He was overexerted. I stand by my words he is the complete midfielder. But placing him in central-midfield for 2 long halves? Its too much to ask.
Elton was chasing balls, wanting to win possession for us. That goal by Teck Huat was superb, went up and hit down.
I should've let David do his wide role.
Adil was there too with vital passes, quiet.

The 2nd leg between us and The Yellows featuring Adil and friends ended up with The Blacks winning 9-2.
Everyone playing knows Q-S had played the role of a player-manager...
It was a 4-5-1.
Nicholas at left-back is a shrewd move. He can tackle and prefers playing wide.
Kang Xiang at centre-back is the fulcrum of everything we defend. This is his best position and he relishes in it.
Alex at centre-back. A surprise move by Q-S. Alex obliged and did real good with those deadly long-balls.
Daniel at right-back. He played for years with us and seems lost as striker. I asked(yes not tell) him to play at right-back. It paid off damn well with him scoring a goal.
Leong at left-wing(originally the other team), is a winger through and through.
Wee Zheng in central-midfield had a surprisingly good game. Passing to the nearest open player.
Justin in the defensive-midfield role doesn't talk and yet he produce a whole bundle with his feet.
Danny is dangerous when near goal. He just tapped the ball in and its a goal
David on the right-wing shows shades of Ronaldo. Helps himself to a couple of goals again.
29 San as striker. You know I asked him to play defence. But he chose to play striker. I trust the words of a man with vast experience. He has an injury. Probably the most devastating ever. The pictures of his swollen foot is now on our phones. I wish him well. And based on the fact he drove his car, the injury may not be as serious as it seems.
Its actually 12-a-side with Faizal playing support-striker with a few assists and 2 goals.
Adil had brought plenty of friends. Mann the goalkeeper, Jack, 2 new guys, Kenny(who scored both their goals), the long-sleeved guy, Safie all turned-up and should be recognized because they are brave to come.
Will there be a part 3?
MAN OF THE MATCH: KANG XIANG. BUT WE ALL KNOW WHO PLANNED IT BEFORE THE MATCH.
