H8FC Training 14 September 2013

Sorry for the late update guys. I'm tired because of work.

Last Saturday another good games of football for us. We started off with adults vs kids. A notable incident is when this little boy whom I say is their best player went for the ball. I was off my line as keeper and accidentally punched his face. I really, really felt bad about it. I wanted to punch the ball but punched him. He was full of guts going for the ball with his head.

He was in agony on the ground and I nursed him. I massaged his forehead and eyes. After 5 minutes, he got up again full of running. Penalty was given. I just let him score.

Then another incident where we played another 5-goals match. Keith was closing in on goal. I was keeper. Our SHINS clashed. I guess I'm the only one who wear shin pads. I felt pain but managed to shrug it off. I looked behind and saw Keith in pain. I was surprised. And his shin became like a tennis ball. Because I wear shin pads and he doesn't, his shin hit a plastic plate. So everyone, please buy a pair of shin pads. You may regret it if you get injured and can't play for a long time...maybe for life.

Another incident also regarding Q-S is my high foot at Glen. The other guys told me that was very high. Well I was playing keeper, and I had to clear the ball. I have no intention to harm Glen. Thank God I didn't hit him. He's very muscular and he can place me on the shelf longer than a hospital stay.

Well here are the unofficial Hougang 8 players who played yesterday...

Ah San
Jeff
Malay Boy #1
Malay Boy #2
Nazri
Uncle Justin
Glen
Nicholas

Army Guy

6 of us started in a 3-on-3. The team with me, David and Cher Siang won 5-4. Then we played another match when more people came. I think this ended 3-3. Last match there were two halves. 1st half my team leading 5-4. The match ended 7-7.

When we switch to standard goalposts, we need a goalkeeper who's used to that. Maybe we should ask Tang Yao to come back? Me and Cher Siang or anyone else are not trained for standard goalposts. We also need defenders. We are very lacking in that department. It seems the majority of us are midfielders. Those two Malay boys, though they are rowdy, they are really good finishers. If they keep on playing with us on Saturdays, I will rope them in in the future. Yes we may not like their antics, but we need them to score goals.

Man Of The Match: David Teo Kang Wei. This guy scored plenty of goals yesterday. Was like a machine gun on fire. Serving National Service has turned him into a pumped-up animal who gobble up goals.

H8FC Training 31 August 2013

We tried to unlock the cabinet Ah San placed outside to take out the nets. They cannot unlock it even with the key. So I tried to be clever and used a tissue paper to open with the key. The key broke.

So Ah San used a saw to open the cabinet. Took around an hour.

We played two five-goal matches. The one that stood out is a 5-1 victory for Team A.

Team A

GK - Cher Siang
CD - Syahrein
DM - Wee Zheng
DM - Winston
LM - Nicholas
CM - Chinaman
CM - Uncle Justin
CM - Alex
ST - Malay Boy(medium size)
ST - Keith

Team B

GK - Kang Xiang
CM - Winston's Friend
CM - Javier
LW - How Meng's Friend
AM - Shyong Ming
AM - How Meng
AM - Higuain Guy
ST - Ah San
ST - Daniel
ST - Malay Boy(small size)

Did I accidentally left anyone out?

Amazing match. Team B took the lead 1-0. I did average as defender. Cutting off the supplier Ah San a few times. Wee Zheng contributed with his short passes. Winston knows how to win the ball. Nicholas another superb showing as midfielder. Chinaman played a simple game. Uncle Justin did ok for today. Alex using brains more than brawn. Malay Boy(medium size) did very well even scored goals. Keith can play striker or either wings.

Kang Xiang should play outfield for Team B but noone else wants to become keeper. Winston's Friend had improved since last we saw him. Javier controlling the midfield. How Meng's friend is a good winger. Unique long passes that's low on the ground. Shyong Ming rather quiet just being in the central area. How Meng should play keeper and let Kang Xiang play out. Higuain Guy is new and best moment is hitting the crossbar. Daniel doing a little better as striker compared to the past. Malay Boy(small size) was on his debut. Ah San was man-marked by me.

MAN OF THE MATCH: Me. For narrowing the angles of Ah San and the opponents.
