We returned to street soccer again! Participants are Q-S, Alex, David, Kang Xiang, Tang Yao, Shyong Ming, Winston, Wee Zheng and Cher Siang.
We played against a group of Indian guys who are pro and a group of Malay young boys. We divided into two teams. I scored goals finally. Tang Yao as goalkeeper. Shyong Ming commanding in defence and attack. Winston taking on opponents. Wee Zheng with simple passes.
But the most memorable match is when Alex, Kang Xiang and David who are brothers, with Q-S as goalkeeper against the pro team of 4 Indian guys. They already beat both our rojak teams. This match is for those who dare. Q-S instrumental keeping a clean sheet. Kang Xiang and David refuse to back off and give up. And Alex? Stuffed them with THREE goals. Buangkok FC won 3-0.
Then we played among ourselves in the rain. People watching and they are entertained.
I can't update our future plan for The Cage this Friday. I'll be working.

Buangkok FC Street Soccer 20 December 2014
It was raining. Nobody gives a clear reason why so many of us are skipping our Saturday football. So we returned to street soccer. 4 of us. Alex, David, Tang Yao and me. Nazri came later. We played plenty of matches against new young kids. Won some, lose some.
Tang Yao played keeper throughout. I scored quite a number of goals. Alex with creative passes. David shooting at sight. Nazri running with the ball.
I am indeed getting better. Very strict diet and sleep.

Buangkok FC Training 13 December 2014
Disappointing. Only 10 people turned up. We are considering going back to our street soccer escapades.
We played 3-on-3, 5-on-4 and 4-on-4.
Tang Yao again as goalkeeper.
Q-S had a bad game but scored once.
Alex doing well.
David scored a lot.
Kang Xiang is technically good as defender.
Shyong Ming is commanding with his feet.
Uncle Ah San totally age defying. MAN OF THE MATCH
Ah San's son is a fox-in-the-box.
Our new boy Zul we will see how he fares in a match.
Nicholas is fit as a footballer.
Where are the rest? Work? Girlfriends? Or TV stars scouting Q-S?
There may be a rematch against the team we beat 4-1.
Till then, be contented with what we have.

Buangkok FC Street Soccer 6 December 2014
Only 6 people came for our original field. The pitch was also not in good condition. So we decided to go to street soccer.

We saw new faces at our old hunting ground. The courts are redesigned with new colours, higher barrier walls and nets.
I think I did well as goalkeeper.
Alex accustomed to the court that made him our playmaker.
Shyong Ming snapping at the opponents with his feet.
Nicholas adapting well to unfamiliar environment.
Tang Yao back as keeper again.
David knows how to score goals.
I hope next week there are people to play field again. We had run the gauntlet by returning to our past. Better make this once in a blue moon.

Buangkok FC Training 22 November 2014
These are the people who came yesterday...
Alex - A true playmaker. Doesn't dribble but ability to evade opponents is superb.
Q-S - Nothing much at all from me. Except a couple of assists.
David - Running with the ball. Blasting when shoot.
Tang Yao - Played 3, won 3. Goalkeeper throughout.
Uncle Justin - This man is ever dangerous. All-round quality.
Nicholas - Maintaining his cool. Complete midfielder.
Winston - Very fit. Improving.
Ah San - At his age, smoking a lot. What tonic he drinks to still can play football?
Ah San's son - This boy is going to be an arrogant *beep* in the future. How can a 45 year old me handle him?
Chinese Uncle - Needs more games. What is his agenda for playing with us?
Daniel - One of his better days. He scored too.
How Meng - Wonder why he rarely joins us. Brought 2 friends along...
How Meng's friend(red) - Shows few basic skills. Scored a goal, more games perhaps.
How Meng's friend(black) - Did well when does not play football for a long time. He scored a few goals, that matters.
MAN OF THE MATCH: Alex Teo. Intelligent. Using brains more than brawn.

Alex
Q-S
Kang Xiang

Malay boy
Wee Zheng
Tang Yao
Winston
Nicholas
Zul
The day were marred by training ground bust-ups.
Tang Yao and Is had a heated argument. Two heavyweights. We need Tang Yao as goalkeeper. Is needed as striker.
I was trying a back header and my back bumped into Malay boy. He is certainly not happy about it and left hurt. Unintentional.
One of our darkest days. Hope next week is back to brighter days.

Buangkok FC Training 1 November 2014
We started off with a mini match. Ah San's son and his very young friend had a runout with us.
Then we played 2 matches. First match I played defender. Second match I played goalkeeper.
I can list out those played in departments...
Goalkeeper
Tang Yao - Never give up this time. Wants to save all balls.
Q-S - A lot of shots when I play keeper. With one kick from me, defence turn into attack.
Defender
Q-S - If there are many options in front of me, I can deliver the killer ball.
Kang Xiang - Has speed and stamina. Should be on left-back.
Xavier - Most skillful. Very valuable asset.
Shyong Ming - Has found his best position. In the middle of defence.
What? Still shortage of defenders?
Midfielder
Alex - Our consistent performer.
Wee Zheng - Scored his best goal against me.
Nicholas - The complete midfielder.
Striker
Ah San - Wealth of experience. Spreads the ball well.
Daniel - He needs to be taught.
Malay Boy #1 - Can dribble and score.
Malay Boy #2 - Very lethal.
Is - Bullish. Very powerful shots.
Zul - This guy is dangerous. Lighten up now that he joined us.
Jeff - Another performer. Runs around a lot.
MAN OF THE MATCH: The 2 Malay Boys. They are arrogant but back it up with stylish goals.

Buangkok FC 5(Nicholas 2, David, Keith, Shyong Ming) Our Malay Guys and Friends 4

This is Buangkok FC's starting XI yesterday...
GK - Tang Yao
RB - Nazri
CD - Kang Xiang
CD - Shyong Ming
CD - Keith
DM - Johan
CM - Alex
CM - Q-S
CM - Nicholas
AM - David
ST - Ah San
We got to a comfortable 2-0 lead through Nicholas and David. They equalized to make it 2-2. Then I got injured and rolled off. One of them was injured too in his first match. David made it 3-2. They came back again with two quick goals in succession. They were leading 4-3. I was behaving like a true player-manager finally. Cheering and giving orders from the sidelines. Shyong Ming decided to go all-out attack mode and stunned them with the winner.
We won 5-4.
Kudos to Tang Yao. His 2nd coming with us he was willing to be drenched in mud just to save shots. Kang Xiang again marshalling the defence well. Shyong Ming another great performance in defence. Nazri came back and fitted in at right-back. Keith's goal is the turning point to release his buddy Shyong Ming to score.
Johan doubling up and did quite ok as defensive midfield. Alex was there winning balls from guys bigger than him. Q-S is just there to distract the opponents. Nicholas scored twice. One of our mainstay. David's goal was essential. Ah San with vast experience spreading play.
We did well. Our future as a football team looks bright.
MAN OF THE MATCH: Shyong Ming. A true ball-winner. One of the core members. With him in defence, we can beat any team.

Team A came back to make the scoreline 3-2.
Team B did extremely well. Tang Yao saving many shots. Keith and Shyong Ming were in the same Polytechnic. They defended like tag team champions. Alex with his masterful passes is the one that kept Team B going. Uncle Justin really marshalled the midfield well. Q-S, oh my God, who is the one responsible for his rejuvenation? Zul taking on all comers in the other flank. Winston again a major improvement.

Did I left anyone out?
The first match is best forgotten.
The second match with the big guns arriving. I was in the team that lost 5-1. Very frustrating when nobody wants to play striker. And when there is a striker, he doesn't know positioning.
The third match I was resigned as keeper. The team that I'm in were about to lose trailing 4-2. I switched to left-mid. Troops were rallied and we won 5-4.
Is Q-S best at...
*Goalkeeper
*Centre defence
*Left-mid
MAN OF THE MATCH: UNCLE JUSTIN. Look at how he evaded the opponents. Knows when to release the ball to a teammate in better position. This man is intelligent. Burying his past and change for the better.

Did I accidentally left anyone out?
For Team A, Tang Yao did vital saves. Kept clean sheet in the end. Q-S as central defender doing well. Knows who and when to mark. Javier very good defender. Not afraid to move forward. Shyong Ming is super in defence. Q-S covers him and Javier when they attack. Zul's brother may be big in size. But he can play. Alex another timed to perfection play. Wide range of passes. Uncle Justin is a destroyer. Nullifying the strong midfield of Team B. Is with his powerful shots, crumbled Team B. Malay Boy #1 and Malay Boy #2 teamed up really well. All these reasons why we won 5-0.
For Team B, on paper they are strong so they have no excuse. Tony did not utilize his speed. Choosing to stay back. Xavier may able to handle a few of Team A's dangerous attackers. But who was there to help him? Wee Zheng is being simple. Have to step up. Winston attacking but Team A defenders defended stoutly. Stamina-wise, he is one of the highest tough. Eugene is athletic. But not his day. Nicholas again knows how to play midfield. Feeding Zul. Zul kept on running and running past Team A players. He is surrounded and shut out. David tried to position himself where he cannot be spotted. But Q-S sees. Malay Boy #3 unlucky with all those potshots. Tang Yao saved them. Jeff tried almost everything to help score for Team B. But Team A were on a high.

Buangkok FC Training 20 September 2014
We started off with a little match between the four of us against four kids with Ah San as goalkeeper. I do not like the ball which is not an official ball. I scored few though and won the match for us.
So the usual big guns match again after that...
Team A
GK - They rotate

LW - Kang Xiang's friend

ST - Daniel
Team A stormed to a 4-0 lead. Zul and Winston scoring a brace. Zul, satisfied, went home. It was only the 1st half. I was on the left-wing and scored to make it 4-1. Then Kang Xiang persuaded me to play defence in a sweeper role. We ended the half 5-2.
Kang Xiang's friend was asked to play for Team A in the 2nd half. So it's 6-against-6. For Team A, Nazri is galloping down the right. Xavier is a master of defending in the middle. Kang Xiang's friend may be small in size, but he is a very good winger. Willing to win the ball too. Wee Zheng keeps it simple in midfield. Winston is really a force to be reckoned with. Speeding with the ball and scoring plenty. Ah San tried his luck as striker. Still good for his age.
Team B never gave up. I mean really never. Even when 4-0 down. Tang Yao saving shots with experience. Me? What a treat I gave to people watching. Playing as sweeper(last line of defence). Kang Xiang did very well as defender. Giving his best to overturn that 4-0. Alex threading passes that leads to goal. Chester, came back after a long absence, shows his good ball control again. Daniel at least scored.
Team B stylishly came back to 5-5. Even took the lead at 7-6. Went on to win 8-7. Q-S did not even play keeper. Very memorable Saturday afternoon.
MAN OF THE MATCH: WINSTON. Though in the team that did not win, he showed he is now one of the untouchables in the squad.

Did I accidentally left anyone out?
We started in a circle. I wanted a match between the regulars against the rest. Most laugh at it. But I really got what I wanted.
Why regulars vs the rest? To make it clear that if you want to be a regular, you must have regular attendance.
Tang Yao saved shots as goalkeeper for us. It's good he returns. Kang Xiang again masterful in defence. Candidate as our captain. Winston came late. Again defence and attack. Javier adds a new dimension to us. Our defenders taking risks to attack. Alex using his intelligence knowing when and when not to release a long ball. Uncle Justin did superbly well again. We need him in our team. Q-S showing flashes of brilliance on the left. Slowly improving. David scored to make it 1-0. On the right flank is where he's lethal. Ah San also came in late. Almost scored.
For the reserves, the three guys En Rong, Spectacled Guy and Tian Ting returned after being absent for over a year. Yes they are skillful footballers. The Spectacled Guy ended up injured. Xavier came and plugged their defence. Xavier is really a defender who stamps his authority. Then Pillay also came. So the reserves' defence are heavily guarded. Nicholas should have played for us instead of them. Again he played well. Tony is fast. I didn't realize my backbone is a weapon that can shackle him. Eugene is strong and athletic. He outmuscled me. Is' friend scored on his debut. Chipping from the right-wing. Is is a dangerous striker. His shots are very powerful.
The match ended 1-1.
MAN OF THE MATCH: Xavier. Came in middle of the match. Really defended stoutly. The regulars are nullified by him

Did I accidentally leave anyone out?
Team B was all about attack. Jeff outmuscling Team A players. Strength is his virtue. Malay guy Is cleverly positioning himself. His ball control skills are superb. Zul, looking more relaxed now that he joined us, brave to take on defenders and shooting hard. Daniel playing a support role. So Team B had 4 strikers.
Meanwhile Team A were struggling. Tang Yao did a few outstanding saves. Even with big defenders like Javier, Shyong Ming and Winston cannot contend the wave of attacks from Team B. Me, Q-S, standing on the left waiting for SoMeThiNg that will never arrive. Xavier, in his favourite defensive mid role, assisting David and Malay Boy. It should be the ground as both David and Malay Boy with plenty of shots off target.
Team B with Kang Xiang another masterful performance in defence. Nicholas with those long balls better than David Luiz. Alex puppeting in the middle. Keith barging down the flanks.
Half-time 5-1.
We switched side and I quickly made it 5-2 by running down the left and thump one in. But at the end of it all, Team B won convincingly.
MAN OF THE MATCH: Nicholas. Really passing the ball around well. Plenty of accuracy in his passes.

We started off with 3 kids playing. Then 3 more joined in. Uncle Justin and Nicholas were in the opposite team. Me, Alex and Shyong Ming the other. The match ended 6-6. I finally scored with a header. Thanks to Shyong Ming's cross.

Looks good on paper.
Tang Yao did a few outstanding saves. Willing to dive on the very muddy ground. Pillay is an all-round player. He is comfortable playing for us. Shyong Ming defending superbly well. Dare to join in the attack. Nicholas knows his passing. Should pass to me more.
For Team B, Ah San is fit again. Lots of experience. Winston improves by a margin. From defence to attack scoring goals. Alex may seem a basics guy. But try to dispossess him with the ball and it's very difficult. Uncle Justin is proof he gets better with age. Twisting and turning. Daniel should improve on his positioning. Since he's fast, he should run to meet assists and crosses.
The match ended 5-4 to Team B. We continued and Team B still won 10-8.
MAN OF THE MATCH: SHYONG MING. He should have tried for his Poly's football team.

Buangkok FC Training 23 August 2014
Many people played today. Here are what I think is the best position for them...
Q-S - I should be on the bench giving orders. Only sub myself in when necessary. Player-manager. Best position: Left midfield.
Kang Xiang - Full of skills. Defends very well. Best position: Anywhere in defence.
Alex - Pulling the strings from the middle. Few hassles. Best position: Centre midfield.
David Teo - Can shoot. But not striker. Best position: Either wings.
Wee Zheng - Simple passes. Simple intervention. Best position: Centre midfield.
Shyong Ming - Very fit. Can take on 2 or 3 players. Best position: Sweeper.
Keith - Natural winger. Can shoot too. Best position: Right wing.
Ah San - Full of experience. Deadly in the air. Best position: Centre defence.
Indian Guy - Solid player. Has all the skills. Best position: Centre defence.
Xavier - Another all-rounder. We need him in defence. Best position: Centre defence.
Xavier's friend - Lots of vigour. Very skillful. Best position: Centre defence.
Zul - Likes to take on defenders. We should mould him as... Best position: Striker.
Nicholas - Compact in the middle. Integral part of our plan. Best position: Centre midfield.
Tang Yao - Finally came back to us. We really need him when we use standard field. Best position: Goalkeeper.
Jeff - A show-off as a player. Running and running. Best position: Striker
Is - Also returned after saying I talk too much. Deadly finisher. Best position: Striker.
Malay Boy - There are a few of them. If they all return, we have a full squad. Best position: Striker.
Daniel - He tried. Maybe the ground not suitable for him. Best position: Striker.
Tony - He can dribble. And he comes around once in 3 months. Best position: Either wings.
Did I accidentally leave anyone out?
MAN OF THE MATCH: INDIAN GUY. I do not know his name. But from what I can see, he is trained well by the Army. If he plays defender for us in a private league, we will be well covered in that area.
When all of you work, we are invading the NFL.

It's National Day. We had a lot of fun.

Team B went into a 1-0 lead. A freak goal. I had saved but the ball was blown into the net by the wind. Team A went up to a 2-1 lead. Zul equalized 2-2. Kang Xiang swapped places with me. He played goalkeeper and I stationed on the left. We went up 4-3. The third and fourth goals assisted by me. I had to pressure their defenders and goalkeeper for Uncle Justin to slot home. I have poor stamina. But if YOU are fit, do run at the opponents to pressure them with the ball. They may lose possession.
Final score: Team A 5 Team B 3
We rested and cracked some jokes. We continued with another match. Zul's brother joined us and scored his first goal.

Those who have intentions to hurt me, do you realize what I did and helped yesterday as retaliation? You will see.

Buangkok FC Training 5 July 2014
A lot of people came.
First match I played outfield and we won 5-something. I was on the left-mid. My preferred position when I was younger.
Second match I played goalkeeper. For the many saves I made, my team still lose. Joey, our female FRIEND, saw us play. Well, she may be surprised at the changes in us whom she knew since many years ago.
Alex again right time right place.
Shyong Ming playing anywhere he please.
Wee Zheng also no position just like his best buddy.
Nicholas quiet on this day.
Kang Xiang one of the best defender.
Keith doing well with running down the flanks and shooting hard.
Ah San again brilliant for his age.
Uncle Justin an excellent footballer.
Jeff dribbling well.
Ah Le playing for his sister.
Javier nice close control.
Daniel playing as striker.
Winston commanding.
Winston's friend glad to come.
Kang Xiang's friend superb winger.
Ah Moh boy with stinging shots.
3rd match again me plenty of saves but lost 5-4.
Man of the match: Q-S. Never gave up as goalkeeper.

Buangkok FC Training 28 June 2014
We started off with a 5-on-4 match. My team lost 5-1 and I suspect kelong. I scored the only goal. Sweet finish to top-centre of the net.
After that, we had a 6-on-5 match. My team were down 7-0. But we dug in and ended the match 8-5. Kang Xiang and Uncle Ah San should have stayed defence. Daniel and Jeff left it late with the goals for my team.
We had a last match after that. I played goalkeeper. We were 4-0 up. Got pegged 4-4. But won 5-4.
Nicholas seemed suspect losing possession at times. And dog food are expensive if you know what I mean.
Keith is a winger. Have to pass the ball to the right people.
Kang Xiang did well as defender. I don't know how many times I mention this.
Ah San is needed more in defence. Can run up to meet corners too.
Jeff came late. Good striker though.
Alex is our playmaker. Was there for me during my down days in Poly and a trainee.
Winston improving his game. He can plug our hole in defence.
Eugene returns. Really skilful player.
Daniel been scoring goals. He needs good assists.
Indian/Bangla guy came back after a long hiatus. Good player.
A Chinese grandfather played with us. I was amazed he could head the ball.
Ah San's son is a very good finisher of the ball. For the future.
Ah San's son's friend have to play more. But with his age group.
Man Of The Match: Uncle Justin. The all-round midfield player. Defying age.

Alex, David, Uncle Justin and me played 'monkey' while waiting for the rest. People can see who are the best passers of the ball.
Shyong Ming and Nicholas joined later and we had a 3-on-3 match.
Nazri returned after another long hiatus.
Daniel and Winston then arrived.
Jeff too came with his Torres 9 jersey.
Javier came late around 6pm.
A new guy made a grand appearance. Parking his big car and asked to join us. He claimed he didn't play football for many years. Told us he was part of Singapore Under-23 a long time ago. His name is Farhan.
MAN OF THE MATCH: UNCLE JUSTIN. For his age, he is outstanding. Can dribble, pass properly and even score. Very few can dispossess him with the ball.

Alex, David, Kang Xiang, me and Ah San's son started with a 3-on-3 match. I scored 3 and Ah San's son scored 2. But this match doesn't matter much.
We played 5 goal matches and this one stands out...

Q-S again with beautiful stops as keeper. Rallying his troops even when they were in the danger zone of trailing 4-1. His deputies Kang Xiang and David kept calm and drop back to defend. Both scratch and clawed to bring the match to 4-4. Venom boy, on his debut, scored 3. One volley, then through my legs and drilling to the bottom right corner. Nicholas did all he could to stop him. He should stick to him more. Uncle Justin was instrumental in midfield. Defensive too. Winston's friend #1 on his debut needs more games. Maybe another one-off? Keith another excellent show as winger. A valuable asset to the team.
For Team B, Winston doing very well. Being a regular pays off for him. Shyong Ming another very good performance. Knows when to defend and when to attack. Winston's friend #2 also need more games. Scoring 1 is good. Alex puppeting the midfield. With intelligent passes. Winston's best friend is showing signs of being slightly better. Needs more time.
Team A looked done 4-1 down. But with my people motivation skills, we went on to win.
MAN OF THE MATCH: David Teo Kang Wei. A leader in the making. Scoring the most goals today. Cool and calm in the match stated above. Knows off-ball positioning.

Team A took the lead through Alex 1-0. Kang Xiang was instrumental in defence. People have not realized he's one of the best defender in his age group in this country. Shyong Ming may not talk much. But he knows where to position himself without ball. Javier another midfield maestro. Talented passes with the ball. Kang Xiang's friend is a brilliant winger. Quick change of direction. Keith is a dangerous winger. His shots are painful, I should know.
Team B did a tremendous effort to challenge Team A though one man short. Q-S playing as goalkeeper, never gave up. Pulling off saves after saves even when the chips are down. Winston winning balls here and there. Now he can dribble too. His friend is slowly improving. Will be better in time. Nicholas did well as defender. All-round contribution. Wee Zheng with short passes. At least he tried. David scored again. He likes to place himself on the flank.
The match went to and fro. It had to be settled by Golden Goal.
MAN OF THE MATCH: ALEX TEO. He is the most intelligent player in our ranks. If there's a cam to follow every movement he made in the match, then you all will see

We had another entertaining session of football. Here are those who attended...
The regulars:
Q-S
Alex
David
Wee Zheng
Shyong Ming
Nicholas
Winston
Uncle Justin
The I-come-when-I-want-to:
Javier
Chester
Nazri
Winston's friend
Eugene
Notable incidents:
Winston's friend was in front of goal within 0.5m. Q-S, playing as goalkeeper, dived and clawed the ball away.
Q-S was trying to clear the ball as goalkeeper. Bumped into Winston hard. Q-S was down but managed to get up.
Wee Zheng basically walked all the way from defence to attack and scored. Nobody even bother to track him down.
Nazri scored with a volley.
Thanks to Ah San and family for the curry puffs.
MAN OF THE MATCH: Q-S. Not only can I play goalkeeper...just kidding...
UNCLE JUSTIN. Excellent dribbler. Unselfish play, opening up chances.

Buangkok FC Training 10 May 2014
I apologize to my friends on this day. There were VIPs having a gathering nearby. They saw us play. Most of you were uncomfortable. I'm not. So I managed to have a good game.
Ah San's son is really one for the future. He is a fox-in-a-box. For a primary 4 kid, he has deadly shots as a striker.
We started with 3 against 3. Then more people came.
Ah San's son's friend is another gem. These young kids and their friends are going to be huge footballers around 10 years later.
I played more outfield than keeper. I scored a lot of goals.
I think Alex can play support striker, in olden times it's called centre-foward. Playing just behind the striker, linking with the midfielders.
David Teo continued his streak of scoring every Saturday. A pitbull.
Shyong Ming and Winston should make a formidable partnership at the heart of defence. Shyong Ming is fast and Winston is a ball-winner.
Nicholas should be comfortable in midfield. A fugitive on the run.
Jeff played really well. Good understanding with me.
Winston's friend is ok. Needs to spend more time with us.
Daniel is fast. But he has to learn football skills.
New Chinaman is good. A little more improvement and he will be sharper.
Ok did I miss anyone out?
Man Of The Match: Q-S. You can hurt me by putting me down. But I come back better.

Special mention for the core of the team:
Q-S is proven doing unbelievable saves as goalkeeper. But can I play in normal goalposts?
Alex is going to be the playmaker. Every Saturday we are friends, but in a private league again bloodthirsty opponents?
Kang Xiang had evolved throughout the years. A captain must be vocal and I think he fits in.
Shyong Ming is ever loyal. The silent assassin.
We need David galloping down the wings. With powerful shots.
Keith is another winger who will be very useful. One for the future.
Nicholas in midfield will tidy things up. Creative with the ball.
Cher Siang is a defender with brute force.
The rest have to come regularly. Or they are out of the future private league set-up.

Big Malay Guy Is came but left early.
For Team A, Cher Siang tried his best as keeper. Shyong Ming was everywhere. Defending and supporting the attack. Wee Zheng is a lucky man. With his short grounded passes. Nicholas did well as midfielder. Smart play. Alex again right timing. Got shackled by Q-S who always try to win the ball. David going for goals. National Service trained.
For Team B, Kang Xiang was winning balls. Brain and brawn. Uncle Ah San returned from injury. For his age, he played very well. Q-S was rolling back the years on the left. I scored. Winston is a ball-winner. Another fit NS man. Keith dribbling down the right. He assisted me with my only goal and I returned the favour. Jeff came in late and played in this match. Contributed a lot to the victory.
MAN OF THE MATCH: KEITH. This guy is brave to take on defenders. With stinging shots. A natural winger.

The first match the team I was in lost. I was getting started as striker with many shots on and off target. Goals: 0.
The second match I was given another bite at the cherry. I played striker again. Winston laid the ball for me for a very simple tap-in. After that 2 goals came rushing in for me. My team won. Goals: 3. First time Q-S scored a hat-trick.
Alex was playing well again. That playmaker role.
Kang Xiang is a good defender. Though not tall, very good in the air.
Shyong Ming playing in defence. Goes up often.
David Teo bamboozle on either flank. Shooting at sight.
Keith knows how to dribble. Anyone who tries to stop him will feel repelling impact.
Jeff made a rare appearance. With a Liverpool jersey.
Cher Siang willing to play keeper.
Winston had a good game. Improving rapidly.
Nicholas a compact midfielder. Trying potshots at goal.
After playing football, we had our dinner together. Winston and Jeff left early. Alex did not join us.
MAN OF THE MATCH: Q-S. First hat-trick. Over 20 saves as goalkeeper.

Three 5-goal matches
I was doing good as usual as goalkeeper. Also, rolling back the years on the left-side of the pitch.
Alex again with his intelligent play. Avoiding challenges swiftly.
Kang Xiang is fast and was first-choice left-back in his JC. Another Gareth Bale?
Is is a huge signing for us if ever there was one. He bangs the goals like Didier Drogba.
Shyong Ming is defender in one moment and attacker the next. A free role.
Winston is improving. His forte is winning the ball.
Ah San defends well. Nice of him to let a few of us watch football at his house.
Daniel claims to be a Barcelona fan. Why was he wearing a Real Madrid shirt?
Nicholas scored nice goals yesterday. He should pass rather than shoot.
Nazri has come back to us after going sabbatical for years. A natural overlapping right-back.
Uncle Justin too made a comeback after months of injury. For his age, he is integral in our set-up for the future.
MAN OF THE MATCH: SHYONG MING. He is always in close proximity with the ball. Defending well and popped-in with shots on target like a viper. Very fast. He has no fixed position. He is playing a free role. Roaming anywhere he please.

Team A were up 7-2. With Big Malay Guy scoring a brace. Javier, Winston, Alex, Nicholas and Keith were passing the ball around like nobody's business. As the sun is fading away, Team B kept on attacking. Kang Xiang and Shyong Ming came out from defence in all-out attacks. The trio of How Meng, David and Daniel ran riot. If not for Q-S and his important saves, Team B would overtake that 7 goals Team A scored.
There was a debut for a Mysterious Uncle.
Slip of my tongue when I said,'Those are 2 ugly mother*******.' I wasn't referring to the 2 Indian men standing at the back or any of you.
MAN OF THE MATCH: Big Malay Guy. This guy's finishing is deadly. If he stays with us, our striking problem is solved.

Did I miss anyone out?
New Chinaman did well as goalkeeper. Brave as outfield too. Wee Zheng and his short passes. Needs to be more accurate. Winston was winning balls. Improving. They are calling me Shahril Ishak. If I can improve my stamina, all of you will know that my life was stolen. Big Malay Boy understands my game. Providing me support from the left area. Daniel benefited from our assists. Managed to score.
For Team B, Kang Xiang nullified the threats from Big Malay Boy and Winston. Nicholas was really pulling the strings from the middle. With all those meaningful passes. Tony is fast and took out the opponents. Difficult to handle. Chester returned after a long absence. He has all the basic skills. David Teo bulldozes down the flanks. Hungry for goals. Jeff again full of running with swagger. He plays well
Team A lost 5-3. Best remembered as Q-S rolling back the years.

We were warming up. The core faithful Alex, Wee Zheng, Kang Xiang and Cher Siang. Alex was crossing and I head the ball in. Now I can head the ball.
We had a mixed match. Me, Kang Xiang, Wee Zheng and two small boys against Alex, David, Cher Siang and another small boy. I was rolling back the years at the left flank. My team lost 5-4.
Many people came later. First match I had good times as outfield until I moved back to keeper. Lost that match 5-3.

Did I miss anyone out?
There was a horrific injury for the debut of Yellow shirt Malay Guy. I was playing goalkeeper. He tried to kick the ball with the instep of his foot. I went for the ball too. His instep hit my shin. I was wearing shin pad. His foot hurt as I was protected. Invest in shin pads guys.
MAN OF THE MATCH: NICHOLAS. The industrious complete midfielder. Willing to pick up the ball from defence and thread passes in the middle of the park.

H8FC Training 8 February 2014
Liverpool are thrashing Arsenal as I'm writing this. Nothing concerns me. Today was a fun-filled afternoon of football. Even when it rains, we just wait to stop and play again.
There were 11 of us. The core faithful me, Kang Sheng, Kang Xiang, Wee Zheng, Kang Wei and Cher Siang had a 3-on-3 match. People tell people to avoid Q-S? Hahahaha! I'm too good. Customers come, people still come to play football with me. And today is a living proof of that.

If there is a war, these people will be on my side.
Again, we played many 5-goal matches. But this one stands out...

Team B went 2-0 up. And then Team A equalized. Winston and Cher Siang got into a heated argument. Cher Siang gave up and sat down at the sidelines. Now it's 5-on-5. No excuses. We were doing better without him. With assaults by the Teo brothers. I was playing as goalkeeper and boy, the number of shots I saved were tremendously high. Shyong Ming, Nicholas, Keith and Big Malay Boy picked up the pieces. With Big Malay Boy finished it off with the Golden Goal.
MAN OF THE MATCH: Q-S. Am I being high? The number of shots I saved in the last match say it all.

H8FC 9(Big Malay Boy 5, Malay Boy, Javier's friend, Javier, How Meng) Young Boys 0
There were a bunch of young boys playing on the field. Their coach was standing there being the referee. They are a sad bunch around 20 of them faking laughters loudly. Who are the ones that hurt them until they become like this?
I told the rest we just play on our own using the breath of the field. But Kang Xiang was adamant. He wants to play against those kids. So I approached the coach. He said can so we have a match. He chose his best 8.

We were 1-0 up thanks to Big Malay Boy. Another Malay Boy made it 2-0. Big Malay Boy scored two more. After 4-0 up, our unlimited substitution took effect. A tired me sub for Javier. Then How Meng and a few of the rest joined in. We won 9-0. Big Malay Boy scored five.
MAN OF THE MATCH: Big Malay Boy. He realized that Q-S is not like what his friends say about. He is a deadly finisher. We are calling him Didier Drogba.
We then enjoyed our football among us after the match.

Started off against the kids. Me, Alex, Kang Xiang, David and Cher Siang won. Coming back from 2-0 down. I scored a rare goal.

For Team A, I did many saves as keeper. Usual. Kang Xiang again with interceptions. Knows how to utilize the ball. Winston improving a lot. Defence is his forte. Nicholas a true midfielder. Played well. Wee Zheng moving around. Good stamina unlike 2007, 2008 and 2009. Winston's friend the silent killer. All-round player. Javier pulling the strings. Very difficult to dispossess him. Alex is all about positioning. The right places of the field. David just bamboozle down the wings and shoots to score. Chris returned after a long hiatus. Wonder where he went to.
For Team B, Cher Siang saved many. Emergency keeper. Shyong Ming won balls. Prefers to play defender these days. Malay Boy #4 had a decent game. Left early again. Once In A While Guy made a rare appearance. Good game. Malay Boy #1 and Malay Boy #2 had a telepathic understanding. But were neutralized by choppers like Kang Xiang, Winston and Nicholas. Malay Boy #3 scored a hat-trick. How the hell he scored getting closed down by me? Jeff full of running. Team B played with 5 strikers! Inter Milan guy came back after being long gone. Scored with a header.
Kang Xiang's two friends came later. Along with Daniel.

For Team A, Cher Siang did all he could as goalkeeper. Saving vital shots. Javier's friend is a true defender. We may blood him on our next match to plug the hole in defence. Kang Xiang did well as defender as always. He is destined for greatness. Javier controlled the midfield. He bodychecked me when I played outfield. Shyong Ming does not have a fixed position. He passes the ball around calmly. Nicholas the complete midfielder. Damaging Team B. Winston's friend is a true revelation. Scored past me from distance. Keith decided to play more central. He's good on the wings. David knows how to stand behind a defender. Deadly shots. Malay boy(white shirt) is a true poacher. Good for him he spends time with us. A 5th Malay boy wearing a Chelsea shirt left early.
For Team B, Q-S did little as goalkeeper. Played outfield too. Malay boy(yellow shirt) played defence. To cover me. Uncle Justin is another embarrassment of riches we have in midfield. He should drop back. Malay boy(blue shirt) played well. Was injured a bit but continued. Alex did the necessities in midfield. Winning balls against guys bigger than him. Wee Zheng did minimal. Scored a goal. Chester arrived later. Another midfielder. Malay boy(black shirt) wanted to play keeper after me. The 4 Malays boys are rowdy, happy to play. Daniel scored a couple. At least he scored.
MAN OF THE MATCH: KANG XIANG. Though in the losing team, he played really well with all those interceptions.
