The Cage 24 February 2018

Here are the summaries of those who turned up for The Cage at Kovan:

Kang Xiang - Defending and attacking. Very fit.

David - Likes to utilize the wings to great effect.

Wee Zheng - After scoring an own goal, was doing his best nicking the ball from the opponents.

Q-S - Given a run-out at outfield. Scored 3 goals.

Shyong Ming - Our history shows our defenders like to move forward. SM does that and scores many.

Keith - Terrorizing with close-control dribbling from the center. If you ask me, the Chelsea player similar to him is Pedro.

Teck Huat - A clinical striker of the ball. We need him on the field more often.

Elton - Again, covering the whole pitch winning balls and passing.

Wayne - Even when injured, played on.

Kenny - A true dangerous footballer. At a later age.

Yee - Intelligent man who knows how to play football.

MAN OF THE MATCH: KEITH.

Street Soccer 10 February 2018

Me, Wee Zheng, Shyong Ming, Kang Xiang, David and Keith came.

We are way past it. These teenagers who played with us are better than us by a mile. I already mentioned street soccer is meant for teenagers to develop their skills.

We are adults and our body shape, fitness and mobility not suitable on a ground where we first started.

The number of misplaced passes we made were far too many. An adult size will find it difficult to adapt a small, contained street soccer court. With goalposts that are mid-level.

I was an adult when we were teenagers. I played goalkeeper during our street soccer escapades.

My verdict? No more street soccer. Not enough people? Cage.

BVSS 3 February 2018

Only 11 people turned up. We played 2-sides on the breadth of the field. After 3 goals, change team and players.

The first match, the team I played in lost 3-2. How my team was leading 2-0, then down 3-2. The goalposts were small. I was the most back player for my team. When I'm told to push forward, we lose.

The second match is basically The Core against The Yellows members Yee, Kenny, Justin, Jack and a rare appearance by Keith. I'm played out of position. I just cannot play not standing the most back of my team. We lost 3-0.

The third match was a mixed match like the first. My team lost 3-2. Many saves from me as I'm allowed to use my hands on a rather small goalposts. Nobody remembers those saves. We were leading 2-0, then lose 3-2.

The fourth match was stopped before it ended at 3 goals. We practiced penalties on the standard goalposts. Kenny showed he's an expert. And nobody remembers my penalty that was a carbon copy of a former Chelsea player.

Wee Zheng scored a goal.

Kang Xiang played like a sprinter after I made him iced tea.

David was dribbling past Wee Zheng like air.

Shyong Ming likes to move forward. Maybe he should play striker as a tester.

Nicholas defies physical fitness by playing good football.

Kenny plays like an expert on standard goalposts or small goalposts.

Yee is technical play using brains.

Jack is about keeping it simple.

Justin is an amazingly good man. So patient. I'd like to know which teachings he follow. He is an extraordinary fit player.

Keith, our old friend, runs with the ball, is a skillful dribbler.

MAN OF THE MATCH: JUSTIN. A VERY NICE MAN. THANKS FOR THE TRANSPORT ON VAN!
