I made vegetarian mee for a few of us. Alex tasted. Kang Xiang told me to keep at Ah San's house. So David placed the noodles inside Ah San's house. And off we went to play football.
Started off against the kids. There are 7 of them including Uncle Justin and Wee Zheng. We were down by 2-0. I became angry. I told all my teammates not to give the kids chances. They are not normal kids, they are talented. That fired us up and we won 4-3. With me scoring a simple goal.
Then the big guns came. We played just one match which lasted long.

Did I accidentally leave anyone out?
8 against 8. Game on.
I was playing as goalkeeper for Team A. Did the routine saves. Kang Xiang was everywhere. In defence and attack. Shyong Ming prefers to defend these days. He should be running down the flanks. Alex dictating play. With minimal effort, more brains. Nicholas playing well. Complimenting well with Alex in the middle. Winston's friend played well too. Knows how to play football. How Meng, after absent for so long, played too. He too wanted to taste my noodle. Jeff came and shows off with mesmerizing runs. One of those guys whose worth you seeing once a week.
It was raining with no thunder and lightning. We enjoyed every minute of it.
For Team B, Nazri, who is absent for almost 2 years made time for us. He also wants to taste my noodle. Javier's friend another good job done. Look at his accurate long balls. Ah San, again, is a smart footballer. Smoking a lot, yet fit to play at an old age. Wee Zheng linking well with his teammates. Should learn how Arsenal play since he supports them. Winston, the dangerous vulture, winning balls with his long legs. Improving. Javier with his Alonso shirt, those passes and long balls. Difficult to stop him. Uncle Justin can't be pegged down when he's with the ball. This guy defies age. David in a striker position. National Service had boosted his stamina.
MAN OF THE MATCH: ALEX TEO K S. It's all about the positioning. Who to pass at the right place and the right time. Not mind over matter. But brain over brawn. Alex's intelligence is equal to Batman. Of course, Batman doesn't exist.
So we had played and many of us assembled outside Ah San's house. I asked Ah San's little son where's the noodles. He said they are finished. All of us are disappointed. Ah San and his wife, daughter and son had finished my vegetarian noodles.

Alex may not be big but he has quick feet. Using intelligence over brawn. Kang Xiang defends very well. Wins headers with 99% accuracy. Wee Zheng yesterday showed he prefers to attack. Linking with the attackers. Shyong Ming nowadays like to defend. Winning balls. Keith is a dangerous winger. His shots are painful should the keeper save them. David is not afraid to take on opponents. Keeps on shooting. Ah San defends well with years and years of experience. Very good at heading the ball. Nicholas is a good midfielder. Has all the basic skills. Uncle Justin, like Ah San, is also experienced. Dribbles well but passes too.
Black Shirt Guy returns and played well. Passing the ball. Yellow Shirt Guy is a good passer of the ball too. Knows his positioning. Jeff is always full of energy. He runs and runs. Grey Shirt Guy is willing to play keeper. He gives a lot of effort too.
MAN OF THE MATCH: JEFF. He is trying to play like what's on the back of his jersey 'Torres 9'. Maybe even better.

H8FC Training 7 December 2013
Another fruitful and happy Saturday. The ground was muddy but we still played.
We started with the usual against the kids. Me, Alex, Kang Xiang, Wee Zheng and David won. I scored two goals.
The 2nd match is mixed. I counted myself in a team with all kids except for Shyong Ming and Uncle Justin. Amazingly, my team won 5-2.
The 3rd match is when the big guns arrive.

This match ended 3-3. With me saving around 10 shots as goalkeeper.
The 4th match we use the vertical of the field. The team I was in lost. Daniel arrived late playing for my team.
MAN OF THE MATCH: SYAHREIN. I will never give up as goalkeeper even if my team is 4-0 down. That shows what a man I am.

H8FC Street Soccer 30 November 2013
Me, Kang Xiang, Wee Zheng and David went all the way to our field with heavy posts and net. We cancelled our training, went home and played street soccer instead.
Here are the people who played street soccer on a wet Saturday afternoon...
Syahrein
Wee Zheng
Alex
Kang Xiang
David
Ah San
Ah Son's son
Cher Siang
Uncle Justin
We played a few 5-on-4 matches. But at the end we have a match against 3 Malay boys. Kang Xiang and I are forced to play for the 3 guys. The 3 Malay boys were losing 5-2. Then David switched placed with me and played for the other team. We beat the Malay boys 10-7.
I think it's a good idea to play street soccer if we can't play field.
