H8FC Street Soccer 29 December 2012

9 of H8FC players attended a street soccer session yesterday. Syahrein, Alex, David, Kang Xiang, Shyong Ming, Tang Yao, Nicholas, Wee Zheng and Cher Siang.

We played among ourselves at first. Then people come to take us on. There was a 4-on-4 match where Tang Yao, Alex, Nicholas and me were thrashed 3-0. Tang Yao was playing as keeper. There's this Indian boy who scored a hat-trick.

We reshuffled and I was playing keeper for a team consisting of Alex, David, Kang Xiang and Shyong Ming. We beat two expert teams.

We'll be spending New Year's Eve together.

Did I accidentally leave anyone out?

For Team A, How Meng did very well as keeper. Kang Xiang who had a bad first game, more than made up for it in this match. Winning balls and bringing it forward. Wee Zheng had a better game. David can position himself where the opponents can't spot him. Ah San is like Spurs legend Teddy Sheringham. Supplying assists for the 3 Malay boys.

For Team B, again Tang Yao gave his best as keeper. I was the only one supporting him as defender. The rest tend to move forward allowing Team A to counter attack. Uncle Justin on one of his very few off-days. Alex a bit rusty too. Nicholas showing nice passes as always. Indian/Bangla guy couldn't do much when he came on in the 2nd half.

Tall Uncle missed many headers. Shyong Ming can dribble but couldn't make the final assist. Malay Boy #4 misses a lot of chances. Same can be said of Daniel. With players like Tang Yao, Uncle Justin, Alex, Nicholas, Indian/Bangla Guy and Tall Uncle, how can Team B lose? I'm a crap defender? The 3 Malay boys are a triangle of doom?

Did I accidentally left anyone out?

Tang Yao did what he could as keeper. Those goals he let in are not his fault. Once In A While Guy wasn't performing well. I didn't do too well as a defender. Our CEO Ah San seemed troubled. Indian/Bangla Guy is skilful but he cannot click with Shyong Ming and Uncle Justin. Shyong Ming is stubborn playing centre when he should be on the wings. Uncle Justin faded as time passed by.

Cher Siang had a pretty good game as keeper. Tall Uncle was majestic in defence. Kang Xiang again full of running. Nicholas did good as a midfielder. David was kicked by me but he withstood the pain and extended his record of scoring every Saturday. I cannot believe Ah San gave away a pass for Glen to score. Daniel again more shots off target.

Please tell me if I accidentally leave anyone out.

It was a blockbuster of a match. Tang Yao again yelling at his teammates.
Indian/Bangla Guy returned for his 2nd match since...? Winston is new with us. Maybe he will be used to the pitch more. Shyong Ming scored with a bullet of a header which I couldn't save. Alex is the mastermind pulling the strings in the middle. Beating me with a long-range effort that I cannot save. Nicholas seemed to compliment well with Alex in Team A. Wee Zheng should kiss his girlfriend more. Jeff did well but left at half-time.

Syahrein, whose popularity with the females is increasing because of work, did good as goalkeeper. David, again, scoring every Saturday. Kang Xiang roams all over the pitch. Uncle Justin is a true all-round player. Glen came on at around 6pm. Showed nice assists. Keith again is a very good winger. Our CEO Ah San defies the logic that people who smoke have poor stamina. Daniel is a nice guy but his technique is wrong. Once In A While Guy left early.

H8FC Training 24 November 2012

11 people played I think

Alex - The usual playmaker role. Was bruised on the eye when the keeper saved the ball and the ball hit him.

Kang Xiang - Was everywhere on the pitch.

Ah San - Did well on this day.

Syahrein - Poor stamina. Is it my fault that I'm taking medicine for my father's personal gain?

David - Should just play striker.

Wee Zheng - Another average game.

Tang Yao - Again scolding. That red-shirt guy was 1st time with us and was really hurt.

Kang Xiang's red friend - He beat me as keeper. Where was the defence?

Kang Xiang's orange friend - Did good knowing when to drag the ball when attacking.

Winston - Played just a few games and want to order us around. This is not inside Army camp.

Nicholas - Had a very good game.

Did I leave anyone out?

Only 10 people played I think. Manchester City are back on top. The champions. My Chelsea and MU lost.

Here are the people who played...

Kang Xiang
David
Syahrein
Tang Yao
Cher Siang
Shyong Ming
Ah San's son
Nicholas
Jeff
Once In A While Guy

Did I miss anyone out?

I hate it when I play keeper, there's no defender in front of me. When I let in goals, I look like an idiot.

The heavy rain shortened our session yesterday. Kang Xiang, David and Tang Yao, if you want to give summaries about yourself and the others, feel free to utilize the comment box.

H8FC Training 10 November 2012

We are ready for private league. Once you all work and earn money, we can register. We will be playing on school fields on a Sunday.

Yesterday we played series of matches. Summaries of the ones who played. Not in order of importance...

Tang Yao - Like the sergeant we saw in the movie. Very happy when he wins, very angry when he loses. Like the Incredible Hulk. As we saw on Avengers, Hulk doesn't care Loki is an evil God.

Syahrein - I'm getting better since Ms S dumped me. (No she was never my girlfriend).

Alex - A bit rusty. He will get used to wearing contact lenses.

Kang Xiang - I think he should play out-and-out striker.

David - How many people can pick him out with a cross like David Beckham? David Teo now can head the ball!

Wee Zheng - Not up to standard yesterday.

Shyong Ming - Very fast. Why he chooses to stay in the middle? He should be on either wing.

Cher Siang - We will see how he is after National Service.

Nicholas - Good passer of the ball. But not good in positioning without the ball.

New spectacled guy - Let him join us a few more times then we'll know about him.

Jeff - Those people living in the 90s will call him stylo-milo.

Keith - Difficult to cut him off when he's dribbling.

Javier - Very calm and composed.

UNCLE JUSTIN (MAN OF THE MATCH) - He's the all round player. Glad to know someone older than me is doing better.

Only 10 people played this day. But we all admit we had a good time. Team A were torn apart. How Meng was better the first few times we knew him. How Meng's friend did well again. He better start wearing contact lenses or gangsters will accuse him of staring. Kang Xiang wearing boots that's torn. He needs new boots. Buy an expensive one that will last longer. David on the right-mid dangerous with his passes and shots.

Tang Yao with vital saves. Orders his teammates like a General. Syahrein did quite well as a defender. Uncle Justin with another splendid performance. Nicholas did well too. Jeff, the showman, scored a few. Team B are systematic with Uncle Justin, Nicholas and Jeff running the show from midfield to attack. Syahrein mopping up as a sweeper.

Did I accidentally leave anyone out?

I am devastated. After 30 minutes, where the match was deadlocked at 0-0, my team lost 5-0. I did a few spectacular saves but it all came to nothing. My team got sick of defending and everyone pushed forward.

For Team B, Tang Yao with vital saves. Cher Siang, though he wants me dead for unknown reasons, stayed behind to defend. My team got no defender! The trio of David, Nicholas and Uncle Justin did the most damage in the middle. How Meng's Friend on the wings had a very good game. Jeff full of running on the right-wing.

After 3-0 down, I switched with How Meng. He is not pleased with that and let in 2 goals in quick succession. It was supposed to be Kang Xiang and Ah San maintaining at the back. With Wee Zheng protecting them. Once In A While Guy and How Meng on the wings. Shyong Ming supporting Ah San in front.

Glen came in the 2nd match where the team I'm in won 3-0.

H8FC Training 20 October 2012

Another happy Saturday. These are the people who played...

Syahrein - My Frank Lampard long-range passes failed on this day. I think it's the ground.

Uncle Justin - Came back after spending time with his wife.

David - The best thing about him is he knows where to position himself when not with the ball.

Kang Xiang - Gung-ho style of football. Takes on defenders.

Tang Yao - Always boasting he's Bowen 2nd choice. I'd like to see him in between standard goalposts. That won't be long when all of us are working.

Cher Siang - Been scoring goals even as defender these days.

How Meng - Did one of the trainers at Home United demoralize him? He seems to be distracted while playing.

How Meng's friend - I accidentally kicked him on the leg. Well, his legs move from side to side. I was aiming for the ball, he moved his leg and I accidentally did it.

Ah San - Our CEO is not sharp as he used to.

Wee Zheng - He is the average Joe who uses his intelligence to attract the girls. 75% of his girl friends are using him to dig up information about Q-S.

Nicholas - Refuses to defend. I am not into players who dribble, doesn't want to pass to teammates with better position and got caught in possession.

H8FC Training 13 October 2012

Yesterday was fun-filled. Many regulars didn't come so we played with small kids. These kids are quite talented. When H8FC becomes official, I won't be surprised if I'm 50 years old managing these kids when they grow up.

We played a few matches. First match mixture of us and the kids. I scored a hat-trick in an 8-2 victory. Because we are playing with kids. You won't see me dribble down the left flank as regularly as 15 years ago.

Second match was a 5-2 victory. I scored a simple goal with my sidefoot. I got tired in the middle and had to play goalkeeper.

Third match was a wretched 5-1 loss. I played keeper throughout and though I saved, the balls still go in.

The main event...

Team A 10 Team B 7

Team A

GK - Tang Yao
CD - Syahrein
LM - Nicholas
CM - Alex
RM - David

Team B

GK - They rotate keeper
CD - Cher Siang
CM - Wee Zheng
CM - Kang Xiang
CM - Ah San
ST - Daniel

I'm glad Tang Yao wasn't yelling and complaining. Because Team A led from start to finish. I think I did well as a defender. If not for medicine killing my stamina, I would run on the left-flank more. Nicholas had some misplaced passes. Alex and David who are brothers combined well. They should show no mercy, keep their game to basics, no fancy-fancy and clinically finish with goals when shots are clear on sight.

Cher Siang should continue with his brute force. Not just people he despise but everyone who plays for the opposing team. Wee Zheng thanks for the doughnut. It's a wise move for you not to let your girlfriend sees Q-S in the flesh. Kang Xiang again was running everywhere. Very fit. Our CEO Ah San is not as sharp as he used to. He seems to be troubled in his mind. Daniel had another horrific injury. 2 young boys replaced him.

On paper, it seems Team B will walkover Team A. They have Ah San, Alex, Javier and Glen. All Team A players step up to the plate. Especially Daniel who scored a lot. Team A were up 5-2 during half-time.

Wei Yao's little brother and Kelvin returned after a-year-long hiatus. They show no rustiness at all. Wee Zheng surprisingly had a good game. Jeff full of vigour at the right of midfield. He injured Ah San's hand but I didn't saw that. Nicholas really did well as a midfielder. Shyong Ming was good too.

Ah San not as sharp as he used to. I wish I could tell his daughter don't work in IMH. Doctors, student nurses and therapists some of them go crazy and end up as patients. Alex text me with this,'i didn't play well. a little rusty'. David, though had an off-day text me,'Scored a well taken solo goal' Even Glen not fairing too well even though he too scored. Indian Beckham Boy is in offside position.

H8FC Training 29 September 2012

It was a joyful day. Little children playing with us led by Ah San's son. There was this 9 year old pretty fat girl who amuse me. Poor Ah San's son was teased by me as I joked about his pretty sister.

I think these are the people who played...

Syahrein
Ah San
David
Wee Zheng
Jia Qi
New Spectacled Guy
Tian Ting
En Rong
Jeff
Daniel
Once In A While Guy
Tang Yao

Did I accidentally leave anyone out?

I did well as defender and keeper. I was making crude jokes about Ah San's daughter and didn't realize Ah San was behind me! David again likes to position himself on the right. Wee Zheng and his iPhone. Does his female friends know Q-S? Poor Jia Qi tried to score and I accidentally elbowed him in the gut. New Spectacled Guy may be those guys who came and never return. Tian Ting and En Rong played well. I would like to have them in our squad when we enter a private league.

Jeff with all his moves. Daniel trying to score. Once In A While Guy playing like a Korean. Tang Yao is in a good mood playing in a team that won 4-1. Who's the sole defender? Me.

Overall, it was an enjoyable and fun-filled day. :)

Team B were up to 5-3 before the 2nd half. The match ended 8-4.

Tang Yao tried hard as keeper. But most of the goals scored by Team B, I don't think any Under 16 keeper can save them.

Our CEO Ah San is not as sharp as he used to. Nicholas in the playmaker role did well. Shyong Ming prefers to stay in the centre these days spraying passes and long shots. Keith's running down the right-wing is being read by Team B. David is always at the front of counter-attacks. Daniel can score like I score free balls in pool.

I think I did fine as keeper and defender. Cher Siang was surprisingly on his better days. Javier again not as good as the last times he played with us. Alex did a superb job as midfield maestro. Kang Xiang is the fittest among us. Execellent stamina. Andi came back after a 7-month absence. A rare appearance by Jeff.

6 on 6. Team A were down by 10-5. We managed to claw our way back to lead until the match finished with a draw 13-13. I think I had a bad game as keeper though I did a few stops. Sometimes I played defender and did quite well. Nicholas was a thorn in Team B's side. David scored a few to help Team A to come back. Uncle Justin need two Team B players to dispossess him. Ah San did well again. If Team A had a striker, we would win.

Team B Wee Zheng again on the borderline average. Alex was masterful with those intelligent passes. Most accurate with the ball in H8FC. Kang Xiang also did well not afraid in taking on players. Shyong Ming is dangerous too. Keith is deadly on the flanks. With attacking players like Alex, Kang Xiang, Shyong Ming and Keith running riot. No wonder Team A were down 10-5. Daniel to his credit did score a few with his head.

This 7-on-7 match, Team A had a game plan. The 2 defenders me and Tang Yao do not go wide. Instead we compress in the middle. We let them run in the flanks and we cut off their crosses. Team B were all-out attack. Their formation were like 0-0-6.

Team A take in their pressure and play counter-attack. Basically me, Tang Yao, Wee Zheng, Alex and Kang Xiang defended very well. The 3 midfielders Wee Zheng, Alex and Kang Xiang would bring the ball from defence to attack. Ah San waited in front, hold the ball and release to the 3.

How Meng also did well as goalkeeper. Saving a few shots.

The match was deadlocked for a long time. Ah San opened the account putting Team A ahead 1-0. Then Wee Zheng with a tyco cross, a Team B player scored an own goal. 2-0.

The match was supposed to be over at 2-0. The sky was already dark. But we continued playing. Glen managed to pull one back. Shyong Ming equalized with the last kick of the game. Javier, Nicholas, Uncle Justin and David are dangerous players. It took a tremendous effort for Team A to keep them at bay. David's friend returned to play after around a year. There's also this new Malay boy who played in the 5-3 game.

Did I accidentally miss anyone out? So Team A won convincingly even with one man short.

Alex opened the account with a goal that made it Team A 1 Team B 0. Then it was 2-0, superb goal by Glen. Team B pulled one back with a goal by Daniel. Team A extended the lead with 3-1 another goal by Glen. How Meng swapped places and played outfield scoring the goal that made it 4-1. Uncle Justin with another brilliant performance cutting the lead to 4-2. The new Indian/Bangla guy scored the winner 5-2.

How Meng did fine as keeper. I thought I was cool as defender. Cut off some attacks. Kang Xiang likes to move up and down. He's protected by me and Wee Zheng. Wee Zheng plays football like that drama series guy Chuck. If someone like Chuck were to exist, his girlfriend will leave him because he is a tyco-kia.

Alex did very well again as a playmaker. En Rong is intelligent knowing where to position himself.

Glen did very well too with two goals. He's an Army third sergeant so he's really fit. Likes to do fanciful moves.

Tang Yao with routine saves again. Cher Siang playing football with force. Tian Ting is a good defender. He is not stupid and did vital interceptions. Jia Qi returned after a long time. Keeping it simple with his passes. Uncle Justin again performed well. Doesn't deserve to be in the losing team.

David using full advantage of the no-offside with good runs and positioning on the right. Shyong Ming had to stop in the middle of the match through injury. Daniel got lucky with that goal. Ah San is a wise old man. But it was Team A's day with an emphatic victory.

Man Of The Match: GLEN

There was a funny moment when my foot was caught on the net and the poles fell on me. Like Shawn Michaels in a ladder match with Razor Ramon before you guys were born or too young to like wrestling. I wish I can be like Shawn Michaels in the 90s. But I don't look like him. At least I can talk and act like him.

Did I accidentally leave anyone out?

I started the match as a defender. It's deadlocked at 0-0 for around 30 minutes. David couldn't take it anymore and switched to outfield and I played keeper. Alex put Team A ahead 1-0 with a tap-in. Uncle Justin equalized 1-1 with a superb shot from a tight angle. Uncle Justin then made it 2-1. A low cross from the right, nobody marked him and he slotted in. Nicholas chipped me from way out. I got a touch on the ball but it went in. Glen rubbed salt to wound by scoring the 4th.

The downfall for Team A started when Tian Ting had to rest. We got no defender and Team B ran riot. Javier would rather try to boss the midfield than play as a central-defender. Alex missed many shots but he always score goals even on his worst day. David is having another average game. Kang Xiang likes to push-up. Keith running on the right flank. Daniel? Disappointing. Basically, there must be at least 2 defenders who do not move up that often leaving the keeper exposed. I conceded 4 goals but I saved more.

Tang Yao with few good saves again. Cher Siang with brute force. The intelligent Ah San came in the middle of the match and changed things around. Wee Zheng another average game. Nicholas did very well on the left of midfield. Uncle Justin was superb. Shyong Ming is not his usual self yesterday. En Rong did ok. Glen with football skills like the ones you see on your PsP.

Did I accidentally leave anyone out?

Basically, Team A were playing an attacking game. Team B just sat back and pounced on Team A when Team A lose possession. Kang Xiang and Wee Zheng moved forward too many times. Cher Siang, Javier and Ah San just thread through balls for Shyong Ming and Daniel.

I should have stayed as keeper throughout the match. When I played outfield, I was slow and not up to standard. Nicholas, Alex, David, Keith and Glen tried to rip open Team B's defence. Team B had 6 men behind the ball. Jeff was full of running at right-back. Javier is the mastermind behind Team A's downfall. With his superb ball control and distribution. Uncle Justin too was amazing in centre-midfield. Shyong Ming had a good game. Daniel scored again though he missed more.

Tang Yao was yelling at his teammates. What for? No money, nothing at stake.

I should have played full-time keeper.

A good performance by me as keeper. I think I saved more than 10 shots. Indian Beckham Boy is a comic relief. Stop scolding him guys. Were you better than him when you were 11 years old? Cher Siang and Tang Yao like Kane and the Undertaker trying to kill Team B. Kang Xiang was everywhere up and down. Uncle Justin got all the skills as a player. Alex very intelligent in the middle of the park. Ah San is a wise old man supplying assists. Daniel scored. Yes he did.

Jeff was full of vigour. A show-off definitely. (Wait a minute. I'm a show-off too) Wee Zheng had an average game. Shyong Ming too had an average game. David was delivering crosses and taking long shots whenever he can. Nicholas is the complete playmaker. Chris is doing what he does every Saturday afternoon. Rarely he lost a game. Keith, on the other flank is a classic winger. St Andrews Guy covers up for Keith as right-back.

Team B had no excuse to lose as their team were strong. This is how the sequence of goals were scored. Sorry I forgot the scorers.

Did I accidentally left anyone out?

So it's 7-a-side. Team B scored first to make it 1-0. Then Team A equalized 1-1. Team B again went ahead 2-1. Team A cancelled that out to make it 2-2. It's see-saw and Team B again went ahead 3-2. Again Team A equalized 3-3. Team B 4-3 up. Team A drew it 4-4. Team B won with golden goal classic Ah San header 5-4. Basically, Team B punch Team A, Team A punch back.

I had a groin strain. I woke up from my sleep Wee Zheng calling me for breakfast and I'm ok. At least Cher Siang is putting effort to play. Wee Zheng was as per normal. Javier showing rustiness but still a good player. Glen too much showboating. David knows where to position himself. Alex is the all-round midfield player.

How Meng appeared after a long absence. A little rusty. Kang Xiang moving from defence to attack with no frills. Once In a While Guy making that right-back spot his. Uncle Justin is still masterful but not like last time. Shyong Ming likes to play just in front of the midfield. Ah San seems to be bothered by something. Chris is the most skilful among us. Having a slightly above-average game. Jeff again full of vigour.

Did I accidentally miss anyone out?

Team B had too much firepower for Team A. Anyone in Team B can score. The 14 goals were shared around by all players of Team B. They play as a unit.

Even defenders like Keith, Kang Xiang and Wee Zheng know when to go up and down the pitch. Kang Xiang scored a nice goal with a flying backheel. Alex sits well in the middle of the park surrounded by capable players. Glen and Chris were terrorizing the flanks. Shyong Ming was on one of his best days. Scoring a thunderblot that no keeper can save. Definitely Goal Of The Match.

Team A on the other hand, is just not up to the mark. I saved a few shots acrobatically but I just couldn't save 14 of them from Team B. Javier and Ah San are not up to it on this day. They seem to have problems in their minds. Nicholas was cool as usual. Uncle Justin too not having a good game. David did what he had to do.

I made Alex bleed when I played outfield for a while. Maybe I should just be goalkeeper. I am reckless. Like that girl at The Cage said,'That guy in the Chelsea jersey tackle people anyhow.'

Did I accidentally leave anyone out?

Alex had an overall good game but in the match we were trounced 9-1, we had no striker. Shyong Ming doesn't want to stay up and wondered in the middle of the park. For all of my saves as keeper, I could do nothing with all those shots raining at me.

Kang Xiang likes to go up and down. In the middle of the field we are prone to counter-attacks. David is smart holding the ball and releasing it to his nearest teammate. He knows where to position himself for a shot.

Wee Zheng do pass the ball often but he loses possession many times. Last match my team were leading 5-3 and Tang Yao demanded the match continue. It was already dark when Lionel made it 5-5 with a header.

Cher Siang and his brute force. Uncle Justin really played well. He plays like a professional. Chris was amazing. He is the reason why I lost matches. There was once I saved his shot, the ball hit the post and went in.

Daniel again more shots off target than on target. Ah San seemed rusty. I don't know what's on his mind. Keith on his favourite position right-wing. Why you people don't want to mark Lionel? If he is given time and space, he can score.

Nicholas is a dangerous centre midfielder. Ah San's son played for a short while and he scored.

Did I accidentally leave anyone out?

The problem with Team A is we don't have striker. We cannot do a 4-6-0 Spain formation. All my saves, switching to left-back, all the defenders' hard work(Tian Ting, Tang Yao, Cher Siang), the industry of the midfield(En Rong, Wee Zheng, Spectacled Guy, David), Chris terrorizing the wings...no striker to finish it up.

Team B did well to go up 3-0. Once In A While Guy and Glen on the right-wing combined well to deliver deadly crosses. Kang Xiang was again breaking up attacks. With Ah San helping. Javier did well as DM. Alex again pulling the strings. He managed to slide past tackles and spray passes. Daniel was poor though he did score a goal. So Team A came back to make it 3-3. It rained and we stopped.

I went on my own later to watch Hougang United lose at home to Gombak United. I think we are better than them. I don't think I will be playing when H8FC joins a private league. Because of medicine, I have poor stamina. I'll be just an average manager. Maybe 2nd choice keeper if Tang Yao is injured.

H8FC Street Soccer 30 June 2012

Syahrein, Alex, Kang Xiang, David, Wee Zheng, Shyong Ming, Keith, Kevin, Tang Yao and Cher Siang made a return to our street soccer court. At first we were playing with a few Malay boys. The unlikely team of Syahrein, David, Tang Yao and Cher Siang win 2 tough matches in a row.

We re-team and play among ourselves. Then came the challenge of 4 Chinese boys. I didn't look at them because I thought they were gangsters. I don't stare at guys looking for fight. I stare at pretty girls and hot moms. Then I realized these guys played with me at the court many, many years ago. Maybe they are sad I left them and played with us at field. Kang Xiang was fired up and fired on all cylinders. I think in one match, he scored all 3 goals.

Thank goodness there were no gangsters challenging us to a match. I think we are fully prepared for private league. I'll be the player-manager. We just have to wait until you all become working adults.

Did I accidentally leave anyone out?

The team I'm in are handed a heavy lost. We were already 4-0 down. I played keeper first, had one or two spectacular saves but it was soon forgotten. Then a handsome grey shirt guy came and made it 4-1. I know this guy but I forgot where I saw him.

Kevin made an unexpected return after a few years. He is happy-go-lucky.

Tall Uncle of Team A had an excellent game. He even scored with bullet headers. Though Chris and Handsome Grey Shirt guy came close, my MAN OF THE MATCH is TALL UNCLE. We were down with 5-1. In the middle of it all, I had to rest because my groin is sore. I work hard as a lobby retarded guy so that took a toll on my body. Cher Siang was cursing me. When a guy lower IQ than me tells me what to do, you know that the world had turned upside down.

Chris was on his better days. I'm not surprised if he plays for Singapore later. Then we all can boast that he honed his skills with us.

The rest of you thanks for coming. If you are disappointed I don't mention you on this post, do see the Blog Archive on the right.

This is a video of Roberto di Matteo playing for Chelsea in 1997. Enjoy...

I came late because my blind 'date' didn't show up. 'She' smsed me later and told me she didn't arrive because she soiled her skirt. Then she told me about government and Michael Jackson. She didn't answer my call because she's 'shy'. I think it's some fat guy I knew whom I ignored in the past because he piss me off. Guess I have to ignore him again.

Well, I arrived at around 6pm. This is another great match. I wonder why is it when I play, everyone up their game. I saw you guys play without me. You all were playing boring football. Am I really that important in your lives?

Anyways Team A went ahead with an own goal by Cher Siang. Team B equalized with a header by Nicholas 1-1. Team B went 2-1 up with a goal by new guy Royal. I volleyed the ball right to the heart of Team A's defence. Uncle Justin squeezed in between and he scored to make it 3-1. Lionel with a cool finish to make it 4-1. Nicholas ended the contest by scoring the 5th. Team B won! Game. Set. Match.

Did I miss anyone out?

How can Team A lose? Here are the likely scenarios -

NO DEFENDERS - When I play keeper, I see right in front of me no defenders. When they did assists for Chris, he just ran through the middle and beat me 75% of the time. When I play defender, I tried to stop him but somehow he still managed to score.

COMBO OF TANG YAO AND CHER SIANG - Undertaker and Kane are really like brothers. They defend as a dual unit.

CHRIS - If this guy plays for Singapore in the future, we all will be proud that a Singapore player honed his skills with us. Chris was amazing yesterday.

GLEN - He came on and terrorize the wings.

Did I accidentally leave anyone out?

This match had 2 halves. First half Team A went 2-0 up. Team B equalized 2-2. And went ahead 3-2. Team A made it 3-3. The match see-saw again when Team B ended the half 5-3. Our trio of attack Lionel, Ah San and Daniel did very well in the first half.

2nd half was a totally different issue. Javier came in for Team A. Jeff switched from keeper to outfield. Javier was really controlling and masterminding the whole match. Team B went up 6-3. Then Team A clawed back with 6-4 all the way to 6-6. To add insult to injury, Team A went all the way to 10-6. Ah San grabbed a consolation. Match ended 10-7.

The effervescent Jeff is full of energy. Again, Wee Zheng was made to look good by his teammates. Alex reminds me of Frank Lampard though he is an Arsenal fan. Shyong Ming is not really showing what he is fully capable of. Nicholas is the complete midfielder. David like Steven...no Jay Spearing on the right. Glen is difficult to stop at the right-wing as I was marking him. Inter Milan guy not sharp.

I did 'absolutely nothing' as goalkeeper. Keith needs to pick his right position. #2 Guy is doing ok. NOW, Kang Xiang needs to stay back when defending. The back was exposed when he ventured in front. Lets see how Cher Siang plays 2 or 3 years later. You people underestimated Lionel. He's a Liverpool fan and I bet he knows all those great Liverpool strikers wearing the #9. Ah San is complaining no midfielders. He should be one playing behind Lionel and Daniel. As for Daniel, he needs to read books on football techniques with the foot.

8 against 8? Did I accidentally leave anyone out?

There were 2 halves. 1st half Team A I played defender while Kang Xiang keeper. I did quite a good job stopping attacks. With Cher Siang clearing the ball. Team A went 4-0 up with a hat-trick by Daniel. Team B replied with 2 goals 4-2. En Rong scoring his 2nd goal ending the half 5-2. My testicles were sore fantasizing about hot moms. So I played keeper 2nd half.

The young Malay boy who was futile on the left-wing left along with his friend Young Liverpool Boy who was dangerous on the left-wing in Team B. Team A went ahead 6-2. En Rong scoring his FOURTH. Then it's 6-3. Followed by 6-4. Team A made it 7-4. Team B tried to snatch the game with two quick-fire goals but the match ended at 7-6.

It's refreshing to see Jeff back again. Shyong Ming needs a fixed position, he's everywhere. Tang Yao made vital saves. Tian Ting got no support. Wee Zheng was made to look good by Alex and Nicholas. Alex and Nicholas are similar players. Like Modric and Rafael van Der Vaart of Spurs. David cutting the ball from the right. Ah San dangerous with headers.

We are going to be big-time players when you all work. We are going to be 1st in the private league in our first season.

Did I miss anyone out?

9 against 10 and we still lose 8-4? Just like my first Letter Of The Week in 2006 where I mentioned Chelsea's midfielders are like too many cooks that spoil the broth, this was what Team B was suffering. David, Uncle Justin, Alex, Ah San, Spectacled Malay Guy and Uncle Zidane are not in tandem.

The main reason why we lost is because nobody is marking Lionel the tall guy. Not even Shyong Ming who had gone one-on-one with many pai-kias. Later when we have private league and if we play against a team with ang-mohs, you people won't mark them too because they are taller and bigger than you? I was thinking of any of my teammates to play keeper so I can give Lionel the David Luiz treatment. Some of you may think I'm a lousy keeper but can you play keeper better than me?

Team A's defence were good with Kang Xiang marshalling real well with Wee Zheng supporting him. Nicholas is pulling the strings in the playmaker role. Green Shirt Guy, Glen and Chris are running riot like Mata, Sturridge and Kalou. I'll repeat it again. Nobody is marking Lionel. He had all the time and space in the world to make me look like an idiot. Which I am not.

10 vs 10? Did I accidentally leave anyone out?

Team B drew first blood when DAVID somehow scored with a tame shot. Then they went 2-0 up with a corner that TANG YAO guided in. What did I tell you all about 2-goal leads last week? That 12 YEAR OLD INDIAN BOY is starting. Give him time. For all we know, he is going to be different when he's my age. KANG XIANG is excellent as defender. I compliment him by distracting Team B's attackers. WEE ZHENG had an average game. UNCLE JUSTIN did the usual stuffs.

YELLOW SHIRT GUY is not bad in intercepting and accurate passes. BLUE SHIRT GUY is doing ok but found SPECTACLED MALAY GUY too hot to handle. ALEX is doing well in the playmaker role behind the striker a new CHINESE LIVERPOOL GUY.

Goalkeeping is a serious problem for Team B. JEFF is full of energy at right-back. KEITH got plenty of skills. He is always one of the Top 5 performers when he plays. NICHOLAS doing so-so. CHRIS got the David Luiz treatment from me and had to switch flanks. GREEN SHIRT GUY is showing his smartness as an attacking-midfielder. SPECTACLED MALAY GUY is full of talents. Will we see him again? DANIEL, side-foot when you shoot on this ground. SIDE-FOOT! UNCLE AH SAN is defying age.

I saw Joey and Ah San's daughter. Also a young fatgirl who reminds me of that popular girl living in the 1st floor. God, Joey is hot.

Team A came back with 2-1. Please remind me who scored. That new CHINESE LIVERPOOL GUY scored 2 simple goals and we won 3-2. That guy missed more than he scored. So I'm not impressed.

Mother's Day tomorrow. If your mom is hot, tell her to stay far far away from me.

Did I miss anyone out?

Evenly matched though my team have one more guy.

Team B's overconfidence started when they went 2-0 up. Only idiots will think a team is the winner when their only 2-0 up. Team A clawed to level 2-2 and then went up 3-2. Team B got the balls to level 3-3. Syahrein, playing well as keeper with the sole intention of impressing girls and aunties, is the rock that kept Team A alive. Shyong Ming did well but should not leave his defensive duties often.

Ah San got a football talent that will last forever. Keith should make that right-back slot his with Kang Xiang on the other side. Glen and Chris are wonderful on the wings. Daniel, as usual, missed a lot of chances. 12 year old Indian boy is redundant.

As for Team B, difficult to score past Tang Yao because he is big and strong. Cher Siang will cover for his buddy. Wee Zheng is rated 'Flop Of The Match' by one of his TEAMMATES. Figure out who it is, Einstein.

The triangle of doom of Alex, David and Nicholas do sure create a lot of trouble for us. We have no midfield destroyer in our ranks so I have to save some of their shots. Wee Zheng kicked the ball when I had it covered warrants a yellow card if it's a match. After Ms S screwed my mind and left me, thank Goodness I let it go on poor Wee Zheng with three simple words,'FUCK YOU LAH!'. Going to work will be a lesser burden. Jeff, who came back out of nowhere was playing on the right-wing.

Team A went up 4-3. Then I saved 3 shots from Alex, David and Wee Zheng consecutively which I did because I'm the man and I can. A goal-kick from me which is like an assist from a Chelsea player found Daniel unmarked and he slot it in 5-3. We won.

Team B wants to continue. No problem. We win 7-5.

9 on 9 after some people left in the middle of the game. Game on. Team A took the lead 2-0 after a brace from Daniel. Then it was 3-0. Now, an ordinary weekend team would give up. But I'm very, very proud of my Team B who came from behind. Cher Siang and Jia Qi's friend with their no-nonsense defending. Team B reduced the deficit to 3-2. Then Wee Zheng with an own goal making it 4-2. Team A became complacent. Ah San the architect with the goals. Team B running away with the golden goal and winning 5-4. Another showstopping performance as goalkeeper from me.

Did I accidentally leave anyone out?

I had a bad day as keeper and sometimes defender. I'm to blame and my teammates have to share the spoils too. When 5 of the core tried passing game in front of Ah San's house, Alex, David, Kang Xiang and Wee Zheng bullied me as they want to see me do push-ups.

The first match where my team lost, I tried my best as keeper but one or two of my teammates did not defend well. Of all the 5-goal matches, I won only one. Which shows I'm lousy yesterday. My ex-colleague was watching. She must be disappointed. Good thing is, she stops liking me, no idiotic guys will disturb her anymore.

Chris, that young guy who plays like Cristiano Ronaldo, is really a thorn. He easily beat me as keeper. The rest of you played like how you play every Saturday. Including me.

11 brave guys played today. And when I say brave, I mean really brave. We played 2 five-goal matches at the other field which is smaller. Then our CEO Ah San told us to play in our usual ground. This may be the last time we are playing there as buildings may be built.

Team A with one person more had the advantage. The formation was a simple 1-0-4. Team B people like David, Wee Zheng and Kang Xiang forming a triangle of doom. Team B went ahead 0-1.

Team A equalized 1-1. Then 2-1. Then 3-1. It appears Team A is slaughtering Team B. Then Team B pulled one back 3-2. In the middle of it all, Kang Xiang was through like Rooney and delivered a damn hard shot which I saved with my stomach. God the pain was like a boxer punching me on the belly. I had to stay down for a minute. Just got sms from Kang Xiang - 'Hey sorry for ramming the ball at ur stomach just now. Is it ok now?'.

Team A extended the lead to 4-2. Team B refused to give up and Wee Zheng scored to make it 4-3. The game had ended at 5-3 and they want to continue. No problem 7-3 to Team A.

I don't mean to brag but...

Imran, the new guy, who looks, talks and acts like me, on his first day, scored a hat-trick! He should join us more often.

It's unbelievable for Team B to be leading 4-0 and lose 5-4. I think the main reason is Glen. He came in, Team B are one-man down. Daniel couldn't anticipate long passes given to him and shoots off-target many times.

As you all know by now, I can deliver long passes. But what I do notice, most of the times Kang Xiang intercepts my long passes. As if he can read my mind.

Well, the rest of you all, I don't know what to say because you've been performing like how you perform every Saturday. Look at the Blog Archive for the many times I mentioned about you >>>

The day started with Jia Qi's friends laughing like jackals. They were not laughing that much again when they realized what a good goalkeeper I am.

Something is amiss when David did the finger counting in a 5-goal match. Only 3 of the core is not in his team. Me, Wee Zheng and Cher Siang. The other team were smiling before the match even started. They think they will walk over us? I did well as goalkeeper again. Javier and Ah San played well. We lost only 5-3 Next time, only I will do the finger-counting.

There's a need for reshuffling of the H8FC first XI.

Tang Yao
Cher Siang

We were playing street soccer in the morning as the Teo brothers have to celebrate their lovely mom's birthday in the afternoon. So no field.

We had played 5 against 4 among us for quite a long time. Then 5 nice guys politely asked for a match.

The first 5 were me as goalkeeper and Alex, David, Kang Xiang and Wee Zheng. We were trailing 3-2 and there were some reshuffling as I rested and Tang Yao took over as goalkeeper. The outfield players regularly subbed each other too.

We won 12-10 thanks to strength in numbers. Tang Yao got tired and I took over as goalkeeper till the end.

Here are how the 12 goals are shared...

4 Alex
3 David
2 Kang Xiang
2 Keith
1 Wee Zheng

Healthy victory for H8FC. :)

H8FC Training 4 February 2012

Best match is a scintillating 5-4 win for my team.

Team A

GK - Syahrein
CD - Tang Yao
CD - Cher Siang
DM - Wee Zheng
CM - Ah San
CM - David
RW - Chris
ST - Daniel

Team B

GK - They rotate keeper
LB - Keith
CD - Javier
CD - Kang Xiang
AM - Shyong Ming
LW - Glen
AM - New Light-blue shirt guy
CM - Alex
ST - Indian Beckham Boy

Did I accidentally leave anyone out?

The match was deadlocked at 0-0 for a huge amount of time. Until one of the Team A player scored and own goal. Team A 0 Team B 1.

There was a cross and another Team A player scored an own goal. I was anticipating a shot from the opponent so I was caught offguard by another own goal. Team A 0 Team B 2.

Javier with a shot to extend Team B's lead. Team A 0 Team B 3.

And they thought it's over...

Chris pulled one back for Team A. Team A 1 Team B 3.

Ah San scored to minimize the scoreline. Team A 2 Team B 3.

Another goal by our grand old man Ah San. Team A 3 Team B 3.

Decided for a half-time break.

All of us refreshed and Daniel scored to put Team A amazingly on the lead after 3 goals down. Team A 4 Team B 3.

A powerful shot deflected by a Team A player. Another own goal. Golden goal time. Team A 4 Team B 4.

An extraordinary save from me to deny Alex the winner. Ah San with a brilliant header. Team A wins! Team A 5 Team B 4.

MAN OF THE MATCH: AH SAN

H8FC Training 28 January 2012

17 people played today...

Alex
David
Crazy Kang Xiang
Wee Zheng
Syahrein
Shyong Ming
Cher Siang
Tang Yao
Ah San
Daniel
Chris Ronaldo Guy
Glen
New Indian Guy
Indian Guy's Father
Indian Beckham Boy
Nicholas
Keith

All the 5 goals matches we played were top-class. My favourite is the 5-0 victory where I played goalkeeper...

Team A

GK - Syahrein
CD - Tang Yao
CD - Cher Siang
Anchorman - Crazy Kang Xiang
CM - Alex
CM - Ah San
CM - Nicholas
AM - Shyong Ming
ST - Indian Beckham Boy

Team B

GK - They rotate goalie
LB - Keith
CD - Wee Zheng
CM - David
AM - Glen
AM - Chris Ronaldo Guy
RW - Indian Guy's Father
ST - New Indian Guy
ST - Daniel

I don't remember who scored. Next time when Cher Siang, Tang Yao and I play in the same team, the equation is simple - I play keeper, both these heavyweight champions play centre-defence. Before that, Tang Yao play keeper with both me and Cher Siang playing defence. We only lost 5-4 and these two champions were scolding me with words from hell.

Crazy Kang Xiang plays just in front of the defence and did well sweeping up defence to attack. Alex and Nicholas pulling the strings in the middle of the park. A huge reason why we won 5-0. Shyong Ming again running around everywhere given a free-role. That Indian Beckham Boy nugget is just starting. Don't be surprised if he becomes a skilful player in the future.

Again, me like Shawn Michaels in the 90s, keeping a clean sheet as goalkeeper thanks to my teammates. If I were to go for cosmetic surgery to sharpen my nose and making my face chiselled, flattening my tummy, that would complete everything wouldn't it?

One of the reasons why Team B lost is because they got no specialised keeper. And they are one man down. Keith got confused as defender. He can't run through the flanks as that is his forte. Wee Zheng? Just not his day. David does not have the support from people that knows his game well.

Glen and Chris Ronaldo Guy were nullified by workhorses like Nicholas and Ah San. Also Shyong Ming who's sharp as nails with his challenges. The father and son Indian guys who joined us for the first time are not used to the uneven pitch. Daniel is just lost in lalaland in attack.

So 5-0 is a class and superb scoreline.

Since many MU male fans want to dig up my small, little weaknesses, magnify it and laugh at me in numbers, here is highlights of Chelsea whooping MU 5-0 in the 1999-2000 season. I'm glad girls and aunties appreciate my strengths. I have all you haters vast weaknesses as hidden cards. Once I show them, your life is gone.

H8FC Training 14 January 2012

Today was a very good day of football. I think 16 people played. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Alex
David
Crazy Kang Xiang
Syahrein
Wee Zheng
Shyong Ming
Cher Siang
Tang Yao
Glen
Ali
Ah San
Nicholas
Daniel
Indian David Beckham Boy
Javier
Keith

I think the best 5-goals match is the 7 on 7 one.

Team A

CD - Cher Siang
DM - Wee Zheng
CM - Alex
CM - Nicholas
LW - Keith
ST - Daniel
ST - Ali
*They rotate goalkeeper

Team B

GK - Tang Yao
CD - Crazy Kang Xiang
CD - Syahrein
LW - Shyong Ming
RW - Glen
AM - David
ST - Indian David Beckham Boy

Javier and Ah San haven't arrived.

This is a blockbuster of a match. There were people watching. Team A went into a 2-0 lead. It looked as if the central defence pairing of Kang Xiang and Syahrein would fail. We clawed to 2-2 with David scoring a brace. Then Team B went 3-2 up. Then 4-2. In the middle of it all, Wee Zheng fell victim to my David Luiz treatment. Well, I went for the ball and accidentally stepped on his foot. The uneven ground made him fell akwardly.

At 4-2 up, Team B became complacent. Team A made it 4-3. The winning goal from me wraps it all up. That young Beckham boy passed to me and I did an exquisite chip from the left.

Don't be sad if I don't mention you in this post. Look at the Blog Archive.

H8FC Training 7 January 2012

Another good day playing football. I think there are 14 people who played.

Ronaldo Guy Chris - This guy is dynamic. The most skilful among us. All-round game is like Christiano Ronaldo. MAN OF THE MATCH

Chinese Topless Guy Glen - Wide range of tricks he has. I don't think anyone can beat him one-on-one at the pitch.

Andi - Beginning to relax these days. But still very, very difficult to dispossess him.

Alex - Most intelligent player in the squad. Who else is an A level student among us?

Shyong Ming - We have many wingers. Maybe Shyong Ming can play behind the striker or hole behind two strikers?

Crazy Kang Xiang - Likes to go up and down so I think best position is left-back.

David - Reminds me of Michael Ballack when he was at Chelsea.

Syahrein - I had a crap game.

Daniel - When I see him battling with Shyong Ming, it's like a white bishop against a black one in a chess match.

Wee Zheng - Cannot take it when I tell jokes about him as a substitute to waste time in stoppage time.

Ah San - We have to ask him to rent us a school field or stadium.

Jia Qi - Short passes. Keeping it simple.

Ali - Seems withdrawn. Hope he doesn't snap.

Nicholas - Can play football.

Did I leave anyone out?

I noticed you all like to practice free-kicks. Take a look at the video below. Do mute the music as it's crap.

H8FC Training 31 December 2011

New Year's Eve. I picked up Crazy and David and they told me only the 3 of us regulars will be playing. How Meng helped us carry the goalposts and only 4 of us at the field. Jeff came out of nowhere with his friend this madman Rafi.

Then Andi joined followed by Daniel. Ronaldo Guy aka Chris came too. So we played a few 5 on 4 matches.

Topless Chinese Guy Glen joined later. Ah San arrived too. Joey was there to see us for a while. Joey may be a big girl but I think she's hot. Then there is this young Chinese boy playing for the first time. He thought he had struck the lottery for scoring past me.

Crazy needs to go up less when defending.

David is outstanding as defender in one match. I'm thinking of me and him in centre defence if we have a match.

Thanks to all those stupid girls who rejected me, I am playing well as a sweeper. More victims of the David Luiz treatment to come.

Jeff brought along this madman called Rafi. He has sexual feelings for me. Sickening. I am not a homo!

Andi is a funny Malay guy. If only all Malay guys are like him, the police have much less work to do.

Daniel is the latest victim of my David Luiz treatment. He's not happy with that for sure.

Ronaldo guy Chris is the most dangerous player. I'd like to see how Shyong Ming deal with him but Shyong Ming was not there.

Glen is another dangerous guy. We got a lot of wingers. I'll have a headache picking our first XI if we become official.

Ah San is not as good as he used to. Wonder why.

How Meng must be careful. Home United might release him if he doesn't buck up.

That tyco kid got a late Christmas present by scoring past me.

Happy New Year.
